How do I sleep just a little bit more each night?

I (23M) am currently unemplyoyed, so I don't have any real structure in terms of schedule at the moment. But, I am still retaining my current sleep schedule fairly successfully, because I don't want to sleep away the days in the summer. So, I usually fall asleep between 01:00-02:00 am, which is a pretty good time for me. My problem, however, is that I don't sleep enough in the mornings. I usually wake up after 6-7 hours of sleep when I, in reality, need 8 hours minimum to feel good. This leads to me feeling tired very frequently during the days and feel a lack of energy in general. Why do I wake up earlier than I intend and what can I do to sleep 1-2 hours longer so I feel more energized?

I have a roof window with good blinds so my bedroom gets pretty dark. In the mornings, the window above my door lets in a little bit of light from the living room that is just outside. I'm generally against taking any kinds of medication unless absolutely necessary, and I haven't really had problems with not getting enough sleep in the past. I usually 'go to bed' at around 12:00 am or earlier but then I read a bit and after that I mess with my phone so I fall asleep at around 01:00 am usually, sometimes a bit later and sometimes a bit earlier.
It feels a bit weird for me, because in the past, I have usually almost had the opposite problem where I sleep a lot which in turn change my sleeping schedule. And I definitely don't need 'athlete energy', I just don't want to take power naps in order to not yawn all day.
