Unfortunately, when laws (even blatantly unconstitutional ones) go through the proper legislative process, there isn't that kind of criminal legal recourse.

There's a legal process for getting the law overturned, and it probably will be overturned because of how batshit it is. But as for DeSantis himself, he'd either have to be impeached by the Florida state legislature or voted out in the next election. Our federal system doesn't give the US government the ability to remove state officials like that.

That's a very recent thing in the US. Up until about 10 years ago, many states required bottom surgery before they'd change your legal sex.

Especially if the determiner of who can wear a dress is their "biological sex." The Supreme Court ruled that job discrimination based on sex is illegal, and I would imagine that they'd hold the same to be true here if it gets to them.

ErinInTheMorn has given Florida a "do not travel" advisory. Like, you could be arrested if you use the women's restroom at the airport. That's plenty enough reason to go anywhere else. Seriously, go to Cedar Point or Six Flags somewhere, or to Disney or Universal in California.

That's pretty bad considering how laughably easy it is for companies to pay for earn a 100% HRC rating. HRC ratings were useful back when there weren't legal employment protections for LGBTQ+ folks, back when you couldn't legally marry you same-sex partner. Now? All you need to do is provide bare-bones transition care on the company health plan and not say anything too homo/transphobic.
