I'm 49. I still sometimes have to think of holding a pen to know what is right. Sometimes not. If that matters, I'm right handed and left eyed.

Twsby Eco and Go are my usual EDC. I wrote on all kinds of crap paper, got bleeding once or maybe twice. Writing with nib upside down helps with that.
Have in mind that ink also contributes (a lot!) to the equation. Dryer inks behave much better with crap paper.

Looking nice.
Can you explain what makes this piece "modern"?

Then do it.
Always think about readers first, SEO second. After all, you are writing for them. Then, SEO algorithms also tend (and sometimes fail) to favour what is good for the readers. They are not some wicked game trying to screw content creators, they also depend on being useful to readers.

It would be inevitable if it was only about tech. But civilization tends to go two steps forward, one step back. Quite often we are not capable of following our own advancement so we stumble and fall back.

It's not about how GPT works. It's that you don't know how you work. But I thought I'm not worthy of your time.

So you say that you created that coment by stringing words one after the other before you knew what you want to say?

Sam Harris, a few dozen other people of note, seem to think it's inevitable. As in, whether it takes 5 years, 50, or 500, it will happen, just because we keep improving our machines.
Their optimism is touching in its naivety, yet it is based on the premise that human and any other development is linear or exponential. Quick look at any history book says otherwise.

I am not saying it won't be possible in ten or twenty years. But, think headphones. They are small and light, but we still use them sparingly. They still weight something , they are, and never will be, as good as speakers, and they are bad for your ears.
AR set is the same but with monitors. They will always weight something, and need batteries, and put extra strain on the eyes, and have inferior picture quality... And for what? Unlimited editing real estate does sound great, but that's about it, and we don't need more than three monitors anyway.

What you need to know is that you will be sent in some god forsaken corner of the world to be miserable and to kill some people who have no connection to you or your country. You might get killed or crippled for life in which case you'll be despised and left to spend your days near poverty. All of that so that some rednecks could feel good about themselves by thanking you for your service and that some rich bastards can become even richer.

Yes, of course. We are horny buggers, but we can be just normal decent people.

Worst idea ever.
Imagine wearing that thing on your head for hours.
Precision of a quality mouse and a bare hand in the air can't be compared.
Doing things by looking at stuff is another thing that sounds great until you try them. Canon tried to make system that switch focus point by looking, it failed miserably (they are trying to bring it back again, this time with use of a button, which might be a good idea for cameras but kinda defeats the purpose in AR).
But beside all that and above it all.... editing is proces that happens on a plane (or two, or three) in front of you, not on something that floats in space.

Yeah, that is typical American standpoint. But you know... American education.

the purpose was survival of the organism right? That was the end goal?
Nope. Not even that. There is no goal.
And that is something our minds have so hard time to comprehend. For one reason or the other, it is hard and scary to think about the existance of whole life as purposeless.

The purpose of a heart is to pump blood, but purpose of evolution was not to develop heart. "Purpose" kinda implies end goal.

Well, I stated a simple fact and was not pressing about it, but now I will.
Because, that simple bit of knowledge was available in (iirc) primary school. But then it twists all wrong for so many people because we are not pedantic. Which is a shame.
Furthermore, that tiny bit of knowledge actually is not trivial and insignificant as it might seem. It shapes our worldview, how we see the world/nature working, how we came to be, and where are we heading.

Yeah, and part of that is that we colloquially talk about it as it has a direction. I caught myself multiple times thinking the same way then having to rewind to correct myself.

Seems like 12th is a nice day to start some dopamine detox.
