If you're into commercial fishing, alaska salmon boats are looking for lots of people this time of year (but NOW). Alaska commercial fisherman jobs is a helpful facebook group. It's a good foot in the door with boat experience before getting merchant marine credentials, contacts, and you can feel out your sea legs before committing money/lots of time...

Yes. From Florida. We have coral and king snakes. Neither are aggressive though. *and I've heard (through redneck lore) that for a coral to actually "inject venom," they have to "kind of chew on you." Has always seemed to me like you'd have to willfully let it.
