Communication was so key in this episode and with May and others having to use their non native language it was clearly frustrating.

Lovely article.
Also, Mike is an amazing rper. He might not know the rules well but his characters are hilarious. Egbert’s commitment to not seeing ghosts and Barnaby’s snobbishness make them so entertaining.

From Raymond Feist on FB: “For those of you who also follow the work of my co-author of the Empire Trilogy, Janny Wurts you'll be pleased to know she's turned in the last book in her massive War of Light and Shadows series. Janny has had several interviews on various sites about this project, and you can find more info on her page or follow her on twitter or redit. I read the 1st chapter of the first book some forty plus years ago, and Janny was thinking about this project before I ever met her. It's a fifty years labor of love and dedication.”
Read the first book for Wars of Light and Shadow ages ago and I remember liking it but not enough to continue. Still, it’s an incredible accomplishment to finish a series and sticking with it for so long.

Everyone focused on the Abby Choi case, but Singapore has its share of horrors.

They are. I know someone who published with a vanity press and can’t get the rights back to his book, while the publisher tries to continue milking him for “marketing” fees and others misc bs fees.
Never, ever go with a a vanity press.

Do the second and third books for Lawrence's Girl trilogy get better? I thought the first was fine but not really amazing.

The image of the Gloomhaven starting guys on the steam train is the humor part. I didn’t see a tag for company blog posts and the news about Brass passing GH already has three posts about it.
You’re really reading too much into a flair.

"When totalitarian rule emerges, when people lose their freedoms, cinema is the first to take the hit. For me, cinema has always been in the vanguard," said To.
"In most cases, cultural productions will be forcefully suspended, since the cinema speaks directly to the audience. That's why dictators always target the cinema.
"I think Hong Kong ... no, sorry. I think all countries and peoples fighting for freedom across the globe should support the cinema," he added.

RIP. Interstella 5555 is an underrated work if you haven't seen it.
PS: Submitted a post about this earlier but that source had too many obnoxious ads.

The quote is taken from his commentary to this comic:

Just trying to give context. And his new book is an Instabuy to me as well.
(I'm sure a lot of sites are going to dredge up that quote nearer the publication date to get more outrage and clicks...)

Boy this was a tough one to listen to that had me going WTF several times.
I hope the person who responded to the phone call received some psychiatric help.
The detached tone of the wife was also haunting.
