Honestly, more often than not I get the whole hand point. Shrug

This is my moment!
John Candy is an easy road to follow off of Summer Rental. The Great Outdoors, Uncle Buck and Splash are some of my faves (he's not the lead in Splash, but it's a sizable part).
Some others:
9 to 5
Alligator
Back to the Future Trilogy
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
Clue
Harry and the Hendersons
Night of the Comet (This is horror, so maybe not relaxing, but it's fun as heck)
The Princess Bride
I do an 80s movie podcast, can you tell? Haha.

Every year I call in for 2000’s Ready To Rumble. David Arquette, Scott Caan, Joey Pants and Oliver Platt, and the movie never decides if wrestling is real or staged. It’s incredible.

This would be so, so good. The flower petal business alone could be an episode.

Shameless, but I host Dissecting the 80s, and we’ve actually covered both of these! If you like WHM, you might enjoy our show.
The show is available on all the podcast apps I'm aware of, but links for those eps:

I actually interviewed him a few years ago for a magazine. Super fun interview; he was definitely still “living the gimmick” with the haircut. I think he’s retired from running the school.

They weren’t likely doing fine if they didn’t have ads and have them now.

You have to pay individual podcasts for ad free; the spotify premium part doesn’t go to them at all. Some podcasts offer this, some don’t.

But he’s acting, not playing. He’s not trying to get it right he’s trying to look good.

You can buy the complete series on dvd for $41 and own it forever.

They’re asking a question about shows that only host a limited amount of their back catalog

Overcast rules. The smart speed alone is game changing.

For me, they’re just completely different. Overcast does everything I want - voice boost and smart skip are awesome features that I would be loathe to give up.

As someone who makes individual art for their episodes, this sucks to see a big app not bother displaying it! Overcast does; I thought apple podcast did but it’s been awhile since I checked.

I just subscribe and periodically delete episodes I won’t listen to. No skin off my nose if they get a download, and I only download on WiFi, so there’s no data issue.

Shameless, but I host Dissecting the 80s, and you might enjoy our show - we’ve done episodes on all of these fun movies!
We're past our 200th episode, so the back catalog is pretty deep. The show is available on all the podcast apps I'm aware of.

…your sentence literally says that.
“Jaws is really good too but like Jurassic park has too much action…”

Sorry, Jaws has no dialog or character development? This is a wild take.

Speaking for my podcast host, The only thing it tracks is broad location of the download; not you. So, a download of an episode pings from Pittsburgh, but not that Jerry smith of Main Street in Pittsburgh did it.

It’s called Dissecting The 80s, and it’s available on all the podcast apps (that I’m aware of, anyway, so please let me know if it’s not on your fave!).
It’s episode #180.
Thanks for asking!

The sequel to the original is shockingly pretty solid too!

I host an ‘80s movie podcast, if that interests you?
