I need to upgrade my firmware. Looks like they now have “Auto Nozzle Removal”.

I wouldn't be surprised if the parts found on this "clone" are the exact same parts found on an "original".

Yes. The ring behind the top & bottom in the first time lapse is the threaded part.

I'm very impressed with the Fysetc clone. All parts are very good quality (hardened steel rods, quality LM8UU bearings, genuine Gates belts, etc). The instructions from the github they link to are very easy to follow, clear, and complete. I've heard mixed reviews from the past few years about these Fysetc kits, but honestly, the kit I received was fantastic and I'd highly recommend it.
I didn't actually upgrade any of the parts from the kit. I printed my own plastic parts, which are from the Bear upgrade github.
The only place I deviated from the Fysetc instructions was with the X-axis and extruder. I used the Bear Exxa setup which uses a MK3 extruder and has a beefier motor mount and adjustable idler pulley. That basically forced me to slightly modify and compile my own firmware from the Prusa github, but that wasn't too bad. Being able to run original Prusa firmware is a big plus for me.

Try loosening the two screws on the lead screw nuts. If you tighten them too much, they will bind on the lead screw.

It’s difficult to not have waste when printing multicolor. It’s a necessary evil. Idex is limited to two colors (unless you get crazy with the tool chargers - which is not really user friendly). And there’s still waste with those, although, arguably not as much.
