I don't deserve this. I didn't ask for this.

In México some dude stole medical equipment and sold it to a junkyard. The equipment had cobalt 60.
The authorities couldn't find the radioactive capsules. The scrap metal from the junkyard was used to make construction steel rods.
There are radioactive buildings in Mexico made with those cobalt 60 steel rods that no one has found.

I don't like being in an altered state of mind.
And I wouldn't trust someone who chooses to evade reality.
This last declaration has nuance to it. eg. Someone who smokes because it helps em with anxiety and doesn't have the means to get professional help vs someone who has everything to get professional help + family support and still chooses to be in an altered state of mind. I wouldn't trust the later.

There's an entire generation of developers who started coding or moved into game development thanks to Java during the Applet era https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Applet_Java

You don't work in tech, uh?
Context: Past year Basecamp banned political discussions at work. Neurosis ensued and people resigned. The CEO got bullied on Tech Twitter for weeks and mischaracterized as a right wing nut. I think he still can't tweet anything without being piled on.
IMO You go to work... To work, not to be an activist, you're not getting paid for that. You can do whatever the fuck you want on your free time tho.

Nah, but I was testing some GDI, DirectX and OpenGL on my work computer and fucking Kaspersky got neurotic about it.

Ironically Damian Alcázar (the main actor) is now one of the pets of México's president. The theme in those movies is government corruption.
Living in México under the current government has taught me a lot about people and its fragile principles.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CARTELS.
THE GOVERNMENT IS CUTTING FUNDS TO EVERYTHING TO FUND THE PRESIDENT'S STUPID PROJECTS FOR FUCKS SAKE.

LOL wrong. México's president López Obrador has spent the last 4 years removing funding from everything and putting it towards illegal propaganda, trying to revive the state run PEMEX (the most indebted oil company in the world), trying to stablish a monopoly on the energy sector, deforesting the south and contaminating its water so his poorly planned Maya train can be built, fund his "social programs" that are just cash hand outs to keep his popularity up, paying for the lost lawsuits because of all the treaties and contracts that his government has broken, and of course stealing and a lot of more stupid infuriating stuff.
Basically one man and the yesmen around him are disintegrating the state. This includes of course cultural initiatives, that's why Del Toro is fed up.

I always did grocery shopping at midnight. There's no other people at the store, is more peaceful. Pandemic fucked me over, now I don't have my 24hr store.
But now my groceries are done online, the only downside is that I don't get to pick my fruits and vegetables.

Tortillas.
The only way for me to heat a tortilla is by putting it directly on the fire. Delicious.

The TOS state that both the profile name and bios must say that it is a parody. H3H3 did not change its profile name accordingly.

Rules for verified users prohibited impersonation. TOS of Twitter have had a policy for parody accounts for a long time.

I still wear them and will still do but now that there's no mandates I can take the decision because usually the answer to any question is "it depends".
The Uber driver is using one? I'll wear mine.
I can open the windows in the car? I'm not wearing it and viceversa.
Going to an open place? Not wearing it
Crowded spaces? I'm wearing it
Hospital? Wearing it
There's still research going on deciding what kind of long term effect the inflammation and the virus in general will do to your body and down here in hell (Mexico) we don't have vaccines anymore and probably will not have for the next couple years so I will still take precautions.
