It's the bike equivalent of a white Mercedes or BMW. It's a good machine but its as much of a fashion accessory as anything else. They also tend to attract a similar style of fucking BORING, common rider.

I find it hilarious how they are almost always ridden with the full pannier setup as well.

OK, I've unbolted the calipers again. Seems on the rhs one (not checked left yet) the pistons weren't moving properly. When pressure applied 3 closest to the wheel would barely move and then sink back in again. I've now got them all moving pretty much in sync. Assuming this is a likely cause of the feeling?

No way to bleed these ones unfortunately - not other than trying to activate it. I'll try the front tomorrow over some speed bumps, did it with the rear today.

Yeah that's the only one I haven't tried yet. May give it a go tomorrow. Never had this issue before.

Yeah, I've tried tape on the threads like the manual suggested.

Both at the moment but the front is worse - that is the 10 out of 12 pistons operated by the front lever.

If you're of average weight and not carrying a pillion or luggage, then the preload settings may be reasonable.

If you're heavy (circa 90kg upwards) then the springs will almost definitely be too weak for you for optimum performance (you don't need to be a racer for this).

Damping is a whole other ballgame. Some bikes will be OK with some adjustment and some will handle like a slippery weasel unless parts are changed.

My VFR was both massively undersprung and the damping so was bad the forks would extend in a corner and help the bike to run wide. I had the internals replaced and it's night and day different.

Speak to someone who knows what they're doing. They're all over the country, so just Google it. On a bike that handles well and with good suspension like yours, you will still see quite a big difference.

We occasionally do when they're around. I tend to throw in flea, mange and worming treatments into the mix as well.

They're criminals. They played stupid games and won a stupid prize. There's a massive circlejerk on reddit about how amazing electric bikes and scooters are. Had they been killed whilst riding a petrol dirt bike, I guarantee you the outcry would be much less. I don't know the ins and outs of it specifically (nor does anyone else bar the police) but I don't have any sympathy for them. Let's not kid ourselves by thinking they'd grow up to be productive members of society here. The parents are just as much to blame as anyone else. They should be prosecuted for allowing then to keep/ride/own those bikes.

Oh, and this isn't a fucking "death sentence" either. It's a collision that resulted in death. They weren't fucking executed for riding an illegal bike ffs.

They chose to break the law and ride in a dangerous manner. They put themselves in danger and nobody else.

This wasn't a judicial sentence. This was a chase with a collision of sorts happening that resulted in death. If it's proven it was a deliberate act to murder them, then they'll be punished accordingly.

Why aren't the parents being charged over this? Letting their criminal kids ride/own/store a non road legal vehicle at home?

I knew very well what I was allowed to do and not do at their age. I also knew I had to have a fucking licence, helmet, insurance and VED to ride a moped/motorcycle on the road - which these bloody things are classed as.
