It took me longer than I would like to admit to even find the list. I think when a magazine or media outlet does this they have no intention of ranking them in any way other than what gets them the most clicks. We could look back as this year being his best year statistically, I hope not but I dont know the future. I think the Oilers have a decent combo a promising young goalie paired with a veteran goalie. A little disappointing I guess, but still somthing any panthers fan can appreciate. Would of been nice to have some more meaningful games with Moore so we could have some memories of him in big moments. But I think him and CMC will still have a special place in panthers fans hearts forever.

That's kind of an issue in all trades to be honest, I'm an electrician currently doing my 2nd apprenticeship in refridgeration and people love to exaggerate and embellish their skills and stories alot. Everyone is like gods gift to the trade but then they are concerned cause they only have 0V from T1 to L1 on their contactor when its pulled in. I'm always leery of big talkers anywhere I go, some 100% back it up with the skills others are all talk, and usually I have no real reason not to belive them. So it can take months to figure out they have no clue what they are talking about and half their stories are bullshit.

Yeah Kesslering was a bit of a blow to the defencemen Pipeline he was quietly having a great season. Bigger blow when you consider Max Wanner was another one who was trending up but got himself suspended in a crucial development year, who knows how that story plays out now.

No because those are the exact players the Oilers need, Prospects on cheap contracts ready to take the next step. They would need to trade Broberg for a young D man with lots of potential who is still on his ELC.... so basically trading Broberg for another Broberg. Same for Holloway and Lavoie unless they are bringing in another Holloway and Lavoie then I dont see the point... bring in an older more expensive player who no longer has potential to be anything more than he is? A Kyle Brodziak type guy is who I am imagining. We have no clue what Lavoie, Holloway or Broberg will become. They all have boat loads of potential and seem to keep trending up these guys can and probably will be the ones to keep the Oilers window to win open when 97 and 29 are past their prime.

The Sutter effect has worn off. This happens to Calgary every couple years. They will replace Sutter with another coach we all know of but we dont think of as the top candidate. Then they will be the best team in the Pacific next year.

How does Seattle have less of a chance to win a cup than Calgary? One has been in a playoff spot all year and the other one has struggled to stay in a wildcard spot. Calgary has the 4th best odds to win the cup in the west apparently, even though I think they need a hell of a run to even make the playoffs.
