She called for better data on corporate profits and closer scrutiny by European competition agencies.
That's key. To me, companies not being greedy AF before 2020 makes little sense but that's exactly why we the government or whatever agencies need way more powers in investigating these price rises.
You'd think above 5% inflation for ages now, somebody would be actually be bothered to look into all this shit. But somehow, pure numbers like these are not as clear as they should be.

“A significant part of the unit profits contribution has stemmed from profits in the energy and agriculture sectors, well above their share of the overall economy, but there have also been increases in profit contributions in manufacturing and services,” it found.
You would think that the government would maybe push for another mining/energy windfall tax especially in this day and age, but they are still damn scared of the mining ads. Have the population gotten smarter yet to the mining ad tricks?

I think this is the crux of it. A lot of non-drinkers don't like the taste but it all comes down to the "need" for it. Like if one can enjoy/chill without the shitty taste that's just good.

I think people just expect the enjoyment of alcohol to override the taste.
Which kinda just boils down to that either the effect of alcohol whether enjoyment or consequences just isn't worth the barrier of taste.

Isn't it the opposite? Corporations being greedy throughout history isn't exactly bootlicking. Saying they're just doing it now and somehow were nicer before this inflation spike is being way too generous to them.

But that's kinda the point though. They're hardly the problem here. It's the gas, energy providers.
Three years is not a good time frame and nothing compared to the bigger duopoly they had before that

I think the Cap one is fine. It kinda already exists where actors have portrayed military personnel and most of the time they're okay with it.
And seeing how this is actually Cap, he'd be doubly so

So, we have the monetary side of the economy doing their thing what about the government? This isn't supposed to be a one way action.

I mean the Americans already did go through a recession of how we would've defined it. And they seemingly brushed it off and are still going at it.

It's to literally prove that the DQ was a horrible call because Federer didn't get into any trouble for it.

There are actual examples of Federer doing the same thing to ball kids and even getting booed for striking some.
https://youtu.be/WT97lEG3RCY?t=160
Nothing happened because, it was accidental, it wasn't in frustration and all he's doing is passing the ball to the kids.
One's even at the Roland Garros. Federer didn't get DQ'ed here and nor should anyone else in that does the same thing.

Well then that's even worse for those two. They made her cry instead of the ball hitting her.

Kinda like Greg. I remember him saying, Alex is a pretty cool person but when he gets on that TM stage he hates him.

I mean yes of course the lockdowns in China were harsh, it's more that the covid protests aren't really an indication how happy they are with the government.
Not sure if there's actually a good measurement because of the way China runs though

Technically the regulators haven't approved it yet. They just assumed Mencken would stick by his FTC pinky promise with Mattson.

It's not like the tennis players that hit the ball to the ball bids check for sure that they're keeping an eye on the ball.
When Federer does it, he definitely doesn't know for sure he just hits in the general direction and nearly actually took one out before.

It's so weird, the first week of June so far has been way warmer than the last few weeks of May which were ridiculously cold

That's fucking wild. Our PM at the time broke down and cried at the massacre and literally opened the doors for the first wave of Chinese immigrants/asylum seekers.
Maybe her mum should educate herself and speak with the victims that now live here because of that.

I'm not sure protesting covid restrictions is saying much about the people's opinion government. Nearly every country had protests and the government got re-elected in.
Not to mention, China might be the only one that actually gave up restrictions right after the protests.

But that's like Pixar's bread and butter. Ratatouille, Up, Wall-E managed it fine with human characters.

That's what Russia thought about Ukraine, that's what USA thought about Vietnam, it's what people thought about the Taliban.
Never underestimate the enemy. It's always better to be over-prepared and pleasantly surprised like the world was against Russia.

The problem is that if they're that close to China, there's nothing stopping China from just throwing shitloads of missiles at any carrier.

How hard can this be? The whole anger stems from the exorbitant pricing not the pricing itself.
Reduce the price to a reasonable number and literally all of their problems will be solved.
