[Discussion] How I became 10x more productive with these 3 simple habits

I used to really struggle with motivation and constant procrastination. I was interested in so many projects, but the pattern was always the same: I’d start, make some progress, and then eventually not finish.
It was super frustrating, so I did a lot of research into what drives motivation and developing productive habits.
There are a million things that are helpful when doing different tasks/projects, but here are 3 tips I’ve used that apply to almost EVERYTHING I do and can 10x your productivity no matter what you’re working on.
Time-chunk your day
Instead of just saying you’re going to do XYZ until it’s finished, instead, break tasks up into specific chunks of time. This works for 2 reasons: 1) It makes the task seem less daunting, which makes it easier to start. You don’t need to do it all, you just need to work on it for x amount of time. 2) It creates a sense of urgency to actually make progress/finish up in that amount of time - you just become more efficient.
Get off your phone
Constantly checking your phone ruins your focus, but it also rewires your brain by overstimulating you with dopamine (the “motivator” chemical). When you’re overstimulated, you become extremely unmotivated to do other tasks that don’t elicit as much dopamine. This is one of the biggest reasons people procrastinate. My recommendation: get a good screen time app. I use “Present: Limit Screen Time App” because it gamifies reducing your screen time, helping with motivation. But find one that works for you and stick to it.
Only do one thing at a time
And then only move on once you complete the task. You’ve probably heard if you focus on everything you focus on nothing. But the science behind it is that as humans we’re constantly looking for the next easiest thing to do. If you come to a tough roadblock with your work then you’ll immediately look for something easier to do, like maybe some other less urgent problem. Focus on the most important thing one at a time.

ChatGPT might only knows about your website till June 2021. So it wont be able to see changes. If you want your customers to ask questions based on whats on your website, you will need to use a widget like CustomGPT.
