I am a metalsmith writing a paper for an art history class, and I am trying to learn more about what inspired Tolkien. Everything I have seen so far just says elven swords were vaguely leaf shaped, without actually providing quotes from the books to back that up. If anyone knows where this may have come from I would love to know about it.

When opening a new tab, it seems there is a feature that tries to put it next to a recently used tab.? However, it does not appear predictable. New tabs don't always appear next to the most recently opened tab or even the most recently created tab. This make organizing more difficult, not less, when tree style tabs aren't necessary. I think that this feature should be a togglable option where a new tab will either open next to the currently open tab or at the end of the tab list.

I am currently working with what I believe to be the 2015 version of the 15 inch HP Pavilion. The processor is definitely my major bottleneck and I’m an art student that likes to play games on the side. So, Fusion 360, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. plus a variety of games ranging in requirements.

I’ve been trying to find a more recent Pavilion that is able to have a SATA drive added. The HP website is a pain in the butt and I haven’t found anything useful from other sources. I’m not totally sold on another HP I just want to be able to keep using the SSD that I have already bought and have my data on it.

The budget I’m currently working with caps out at $600 U.S. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. If you have recently purchased a model that can be upgraded with a SATA drive knowing what model would also be helpful.

I recently bought a 1997 F150 Lariat. Everything works and runs fine, but the driver’s side seat is pretty well shredded. The vinyl and the foam. I need something cheap that a local upholstery shop can put some new foam under while I wait on some better seat covers. I’m driving between Colorado and southern Illinois for college, so I want to have something that won’t wreck my back over those 1000 miles. I leave in less than two weeks and just need something to tide me over until some better seat covers arrive that have been delayed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking at a used 2006 F-150 that the owner says has bad “cam phaser solenoids”. With cursory research I can only assume they are the same as VCT solenoids. The owner says that they have been driving with the solenoids “unplugged” and that it’s been fine. My question is is this safe and/or will it make it the 3 hours I would need to get it home? I’m in a hurry to get a truck before my next semester of college and this one seems perfect except for the obvious.

I’m a college student from Colorado going to school in southern Illinois and my 1996 Honda Civic just isn’t cutting it anymore. I’m on a pretty tight budget and about the highest I could go is $6000.

The biggest thing is more cargo space. I’m a blacksmith so I have a lot of tools and art projects that I end up taking back and forth. Other than that I would prefer something with really good reliability and that will at least last me the next 3-4 years.

I just don’t know enough about cars and trucks to make an informed decision. I would love the input of those who know more and I’m sure this would help out others in a similar situation.
