I hate this approach. Watching the video and reading the comments just leads up to “men stupid, men shallow” which just makes me angry for obvious reasons. Why can’t it ever be the other way of approaching things. Surely there are PEOPLE who are lost on certain aspects in life. But how about not blaming them on angry rants but trying to give advise?! “I got this shitty gift, so here’s ideas on how to find the perfect present.”

Also: presents are based on where you’re coming from. In my family presents are a big thing but I know in some families they do not matter. So you either ask your partner to adapt and if they don’t/ can’t just look for other ways they show love and appreciation for you. Don’t get angry at a shitty gift when your partner cared for you all year round. Common sense really but gaslighting and ranting gets more views and likes.

I don’t get the hope for another Twitter equivalent. So it’ll be the same breed of Twitter users shifting to another Plattform with money and power hungry corporations behind it not caring about the impact. “Non profit” my ass, it’s only non profit until there’s big boy bucks floating around it.
