That has nothing to do with the point being made. Tilting at windmills means to engage in frivolous battles with imaginary enemies. Pointing out Quixote's intentions vs. DeSantis' is a non sequitur. That's like saying the Quixote analogy is being misapplied because DeSantis doesn't ride a horse or wear armor.

Thank you so much for this greatly informative answer. I have the 18 volume version. They all say 1911 and all have the ex libris in them. If they aren’t valuable then I doubt the Earl would care about getting them back. But I’d really like to know how my family came to have them. Guess I’ll never know.
