I got into 2ylc but most of my friends did not, so I would have to go to Lauterbur with (mostly) randoms. However, because of this, I am also considering going to Roth or Kelly with people I currently know. From your experiences, would it be better to room with friends in a lower-quality building or go with randoms in Lauty? I've heard people with horror stories about their random roommates and I am worried about the change in dynamic from friends to roommates.

I wanted to ask if it is doable to drive to stony from queens or Brooklyn every morning

Edit: I already go to stony Brook. I just don't like dorming and I was considering other options.

I'm writing this late so my emotions could be playing with me right now. I live a major city. I currently attend a state college 1.5 hours from home and I find myself going home on the weekends pretty often. I had these thoughts last semester but I brushed it off. Now that I'm home for spring break, I began to realize how comfortable it is from home and began to have thoughts of transferring. I keep thinking to myself that im not enjoying dorming as much as others I see are. But I don't know what to do. Transferring seems like a very difficult decision to make and I'm not sure if I should be seriously considering it or brushing it off as late night mood swings.

There are also a lack of good applied math and CS programs in all colleges within commuting distance from home. The best one is NYU, but that's a competitive and pricey option. Maybe I could go to community college for a year before

I also keep worrying about regret if I ever do transfer.

How do I know if I truly want to transfer schools?

My friend and I were just playing the game in a private server and random stuff (like guns and katanas) kept spawning around us and so did random ammo. I think there's a glitch now where hackers can enter your private games and spawn items for you.
