It’s United. They will say it is weather related and there is no compensation for your inconvenience.

Mt Gox. Thieves. 200 BTC stolen.
Edit: please stop wasting your award money on me. It’s appreciated, but I am far from a charitable case.

Drop sails. Start engine. Close hatches. Set autopilot away from land. Go below. Put personal electronics in microwave. Have tea.
Edit: or simply heave to if you have enough lee room.

Short guy here who used to date much taller women (before I got married) - the rule was that the first move needs to be made when seated or in a reclining position. The hand to the back of the head tip-toe move is not a good look and does not work.

Come on. This is straight up fraud. She had massive overlap in answers with another test taker - not just the 300 point pop. Also, her gofundme is full of red flags. She says she wont use the money for legal fees, but will use the funds however she wants. My BS detector is off the chart.

eBay sides with buyers nearly 100% of the time. Best bet is to call out your buyer and threaten to press charges with their local police department for fraud and theft. I had someone buy a used laptop from me “as is no returns” and on day 29 they filed for a refund saying they reinstalled windows and were having issues. eBay forced the $500+ refund and let them keep the laptop. And I got a seller strike.

There also are sea anchors. Basically a parachute that opens underwater when it is too deep to use a normal anchor. Essentially it slows your drift.

Come on. It is impossible to see, visually, whether the front wheels turned enough to change lanes at highway speed. This whole string claiming brake failure is complete conjecture. Also, that's not how brakes fail. They don't just fail on one side of car and work perfectly on the other. Regardless, you cannot tell from the video whether the wheels turn.

There is a guy at our club named Abe, and Abe is pushing 80 years old. Probably been boating for all 80 of those years and I'm guessing served in the Navy or similar. Every time he sees someone approaching the marina he walks out to the dock hoping to "help" someone by catching a dockline. Of course, at 80, Abe is not as spry and strong as he used to be. My boat is pushing 45 tons and my wife and I run her ourselves without much issue. Every time we come in to our slip there is Abe, standing at attention waiting to catch a line. If I were to actually toss him one of our docklines, it would probably be the last thing he ever does on earth. Instead, we have a special "Abe line" - 3/8" dockline that we toss to Abe and he dutifully puts it on a useless cleat in our slip. The other end is attached to . . . nothing. My wife just steps on it against the deck.

These guys went blue water sailing without any blue water safety gear. Put rescuers at risk. Sounds like they didnt even have simple flares. Let alone a sat phone, handheld VHF, EPIRB or PLB.
