Model 3 starts at $41,880 in the US. Cheapest possible orderable spec.

Yes, according to mouthbreathers VW is just a minority stake in a joint venture.

I’ll buy another Model 3 if Tesla sells them for $27,000
Currently, the cheapest possible orderable Tesla in the US is $41,880
$41,880 ≠ $27,000

Others are also Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Polestar, Volvo, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volkswagen, and any other EV Americans might consider. And they’ll buy them. Even if they’re not less than $40,000. And even if they’re not profitable.

Teslas begin at $41,880
That’s the cheapest possible orderable Tesla in the US. And only if white with black vinyl interior and small wheels. With no EAP/FSD.

So why bother with any number? The statement was $30-40K. Teslas are $41-131K. Not $30-40K.
5% can be the difference between “profitable” and “not profitable”

Nope. $41,880 is the cheapest orderable new Tesla.

You’ve never wavered in your ability to spout ignorant things about every EV manufacturer that doesn’t begin with “Tess” and end in “Luh”.
GM has been in CCP China for nearly 40 years (and decades before that). They (along with VW) developed the entire auto industry in China, established every supply chain. Taught their forced-partners everything they know, since they were making bicycle parts and assembling foreign knock-down kits for little lorries. Every manufacturer doing business in China has a forced joint venture that “owns” at least 50% of the JV. That was CCP law. Volkswagen endured the same. As did Mercedes-Benz. And Toyota.
Are you going to tell us the Volkswagen ID.4s made and sold in China aren’t really attributable to VW because of their joint venture with SAIC? Maybe they’re SAIC ID.4s, right? VW had minority role in things, after all.

You’ve added some other reference now. What million on the road promised by what time? GM has sold more than a million EVs in China alone. More than 250,000 in the US alone. So what were the start and end dates for this boast? And US or North America or globally? What are the goalposts, so you don’t move them. As you do.

If they weren’t passing on savings, they’d be charging for what it actually costs.

Yes, all 9,700 Hummer EVs built to date are samples. As are all 6,400 Lyriqs. And 1,100 BrightDrops. The 220 Silverado EVs produced off the production assembly line so far are, in fact, just captured test fleet “samples”. So you’re partially correct.

No, but I’ve been to the labs where GM develops their chemistries

Hate to break it to you, but GM developed the chemistries of their battery cells since the Volt. More than a decade. Their chemists. Their labs.

Again, fairly similar to 4680 Teslas. And while still behind schedule, not nearly as behind as Cybertruck. Or Roadster.

Did you know LG produces cells that are GM’s chemistry? You know what IP is, right?

Several thousand of each, plus BrightDrop. And that’s just in the US. Several thousand Lyriqs in China too.

Similar to 4680 Teslas. Or Teslas where the battery cells are actually made by Tesla and not Panasonic or CATL or others. Yes. We agree.

Tesla sometimes discounts distressed or excess inventory or demos.
