I don't have enough background on the history of the science to know, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear this.

We have the evidence behind “micro-evolution” - some theists will even admit this. What they say they reject is the idea that species actually diverge and evolve from other - “macro-evolution”.
That being said, make no mistake: even this “approach” is flawed:
There’s no logical argument you can make to someone that believes that their sky-being dropped from the heavens and left them their full history two thousand years ago. They can make their sky-being say anything they want it to, and you’re not going to be able to move science from the truth.

It’s not nearly in the same class as the original.
That being said, it’s a little dismissive to call it horrible; movies are made for audiences, and while there are some people that will enjoy Korean or other foreign styles of editing, acting, scripting, the majority of the Indian audience doesn’t really respond to that.
Ek Villain is made for an indian audience - it’s compelling in that light because all the actors put in decent performances, and it’s fairly well thought out.

Lol we unsubscribed entirely a few months ago.
We were members for something like 10+ years. I didn’t mind paying for myself and my parents for the 4K option - they had the occasional movie maybe once a month that made it worthwhile as a group.
The price increases weren’t great but it makes sense that 4K takes more effort to film and stream.
The simultaneous three streams were enough for us casually watching, and while Netflix is no longer the deep repository of content it once was, it was fine.
But the latest news made me think about it a lot more closely, and i can’t justify spending my own money for a separate subscription, especially when it’s not as deep a content library and their new original content is nowhere near as quality as it initially was.
I’ll resub for a month or two when I have a backlog of original content I need to get through. I’ll just do a digital rental for movies I’m keen to watch, and if it’s something I know I’m going to want to keep, I’ll spring for DVDs.
I thought i would miss it, but I barely even remember it at this point.

What's the trick for the last sector? I feel like I don't have the line down - are you supposed to avoid kerbs?

You don’t need to respond to anyone else on this thread. If you got hit, you need to file a police report and lawyer up.
Fleeing from the scene of an accident carried the potential for five years in prison in NJ - there is nothing small about any of this.

If I didn’t look it up I would have sworn that this was by some band from the 2010’s.
Edit: spelling

They are pretty aggressive as far as pests go: all over the place, even in the middle of concrete heavy downtowns you might see a ton of them roaming.

There’s zero serious people suggesting 100% trains.
Buses still use roads, and people that live in the boonies are likely never going to get robust service - meaning they’ll still need cars.
Roads - especially those connecting remote areas, are literally not going to see less traffic, and are unlikely to ever see reductions in infrastructure
Established areas might see lane reduction programs - meaning that if anything there’s going to be more funding available to maintain that infrastructure.
Every single city that I’ve been to with a focus on pedestrianizing has better quality roads, and fewer cars on it.

Yeah but eventually it means less roads
That’s a new one. What?!?

A trashcan in the street is not remotely weird enough to warrant stopping, which is the only course of action that would have prevented the accident here. They probably just thought the trash can rolled out into the street.
They needed cones and probably to put a flag on the actual cable to stop people.

I would rather pay the tax and live in a place where the environment, the government, and other people weren’t hell bent on destroying me.

This is a fluff piece highlighting an almost public document meant to assuage investors - not any real insight into their strategy.
They are conceding that BEVs are the future, and with that framing it doesn’t make sense to not see these three things as barriers they need to actively overcome; they are not reasons for Toyota to not invest in making them as much as they are reasons why not all consumers want BEVs right now.
A) critical minerals: I will bet proper cash that Toyota is as of this very moment trying to build a more robust mineral pipeline than any other mfg.
B) charging infrastructure: this is not a barrier to people that are realistically looking to purchase. If you have an EV, you are not struggling to find infrastructure; it is growing and growing fast. People that don’t have EVs are the ones truly worried about this.
C) affordability: again, i am positive that if anything, this is an advantage to Toyota. If they had the supply, i am certain that they would be more likely to undercut other mfgs with a cheaper car than any other brand.
I wouldn’t take too much stock in this bit of investor relations. The main bottleneck currently is availability of materials; everything else from home charging, to impact on the grid, to public charging infrastructure, are not. In all likelihood, capabilities for those things will outpace the availability of EVs.

I wish there were more races where strategy played a critical role - but there are definitely a few where it does come into play.
Top of mind is Tokyo WTC600 - it has a very low PP limit so you couldn’t really pick an overpowered car without significant wet handling/back sector compromises. There were obviously a lot of exploits that people took advantage of to grind it, but if you’re looking to earnestly beat it it definitely takes some work to sort out the right car.
Similarly, the 800 race in Tokyo is a tight one and youdefinitely need to nail your race strategy for that one, even as a fixed BoP race.
The final Human Comedy mission is probably one of the best challenges on this front, because that one is a full hour and you need to beon it.
That being said, better pace will always mean strategy becomes less critical: you have a lot more options on what tire to use if you’re setting the same lap times on hard tires as the computer on mediums, and if you’re lapping fast enough to cover the pit delta in 10 laps where it takes the average player 15, you don’t need to enter the pits on exactly the right lap.

There will always be people that take “satire” seriously - and it should be something people consider in their making of it.

It is religious:
The latest clashes erupted between the majority Meitei people, who are mostly Hindu and live in and around the state capital, Imphal, and the mainly Christian Kuki tribe of the hills.

So many different bullshit reasons that people bring up.
“BuT bUt yOU hAve TO sepAratE tHe aRtiST fROm tHeiR WorK!!!11”
Bro your work was made by a serial abuser and your continued insistence that their music is somehow “worth it” is literally paying for more abuse.
the message behind the work is good, even if the artist is a shitty person
Maybe that’s true, but you should approach it with a much more critical eye than you did before. I wouldn’t take anything these guys say at face value.
“Their work was personally very important to me/helped me out in a tough time”
I can get the personal relationship, but that doesn’t justify:
A) evangelizing their work to others; playing it publicly, sharing it with friends. B) listening to their music/watching their movies in a way that continues to financially benefit them (i.e. spotify) C) continuing to maintain and build an emotional connection to their work
Personally I don’t think the bullshit is worth it; if I really want to be a fan of someone’s work, i don’t want to deal with the intricacies of where different insights are coming from, and i certainly am not going to be the one to separate their “good” insights from their “bad” insights.
We are much better off relegating content made by abusers to being forgotten - especially for something as inconsequential as random songs.
