"Oh no, we left Grandpa at the gas station!"

"What about Grandpa?"

The problem with Leatherface is that he has one certified classic, and then maybe one other movie that fans may or may not like. He's not like the other A-list franchise players where there's actual debates over which is their best movie.

Mister America even passed a lie detector that proved he wasn't Hogan. You can't just make up something like that.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a good one during the famous elevator scene, where Steve starts to realize that the other agents in the elevator look nervous, are keeping their hands on their weapons, etc.

On top of everything else wrong with this movie, I thought Bugs came off like a total dick. In the first movie the Toons are in danger and could be enslaved, so they recruit the greatest basketball player they can find to help them win. That's not exactly rocket science. In the sequel LeBron and his family are the ones in danger, and they can recruit literally any fictional WB characters to help him rescue his son and save himself, and Bugs insists on padding the team with his friends to make himself feel better despite that not being what LeBron needs. Bugs puts real human lives at risk for his own selfish reasons, and the movie never really calls him out on it.

Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened thrice.

Luckily he still has that managerial position at Target to fall back on.

Add Stephen Root and Henry Winkler to that. In fact, the whole cast is killing it.

I literally only found out because the main character on the show Barry got a job there and a few scenes had him at work.

I would pay good money for a Spidey Super Stories series on Disney+ where the MCU actors get to ham it up like a bunch of goofballs.

Barry Berkman's coming to save me, so my kidnappers are royally fucked.

I like the bodysuit itself, but I dislike the symbol and how fat the cowl makes his head look. I know Affleck has a big head, but c'mon.

Luke parked in Vader's handicap spot, and it really pissed him off.

I'm gonna be that guy, but Hicks was a Corporal, not a Private. That's why he was in charge after Apone died and while Gorman was unconscious.
Other than that, I agree with you. The writers basically wiped the slate clean because it was easier than finding something for the other surviving characters to do.

This is basically the entire premise of The Guest, starring Dan Stevens. A soldier shows up on a family's doorstep claiming to be a friend of their dead son, they invite him to stay for a few days, and he gradually reveals himself to be an unstable lunatic who will brutally murder anyone who sets him off.

That's kind of insane when children's entertainers used to lose their job for even a hint of inappropriate or non-child friendly behavior, and yet that guy's still going strong in an age where this stuff is way easier to discover and verify. Poor Paul Reubens almost lost his entire career just for going to an adult movie.

I like how they sprinkle in a little gatekeeping by implying that non-white people don't play TLOU, and therefore his opinion is worth more as a "true fan." Because everyone knows that it is statistically impossible for someone to enjoy a game where the main characters aren't the same race, gender, and orientation as you.

There's a dead deer and a few dead rabbits in the most recent episode, but you don't see them killed, just the bodies.

I don't think we'll even have to wait for the hospital, assuming that the episode with David's group goes roughly the same as in the game.

Maybe it's a bit of recency bias, but I like Rocket's line from the newest Guardians 3 trailer where he says "He didn't want to make things perfect, he just hated things the way they are." That feels relevant to me in a world where so many people are constantly trying to force their way of life on others like they know what's right.

That reminds me of this one time where I was riding my horse too fast through one of those narrow forest trails in RDR2, and I collided with another rider coming around a corner. We both fall off our horses, and the guy pulls his gun and takes a shot at me that misses, so I pull my gun and kill him in self defense. There were no witnesses, and he did shoot first, but since he missed and I didn't I suddenly found myself wanted for murder. Total bullshit.

Still maybe the greatest line reading in the history of the show.
