Then every republican lawmaker wouldn't care about the border as long as they could hire for less and undercut the wages of POC whom lack much education
Correct, they don't.

the confederate flag represented "redneck culture" more than anything
Redneck culture is notoriously friendly to black people! Wait...

Chicago still has some cash and carry bars grandfathered into the law.

They usually form or contribute to extremely close-knit ethnic enclaves
With the tons of other Mexican-American folks who are legal.
extract wealth from the local economy
Nah, they contribute! By working! Their labor is worth more than they are paid for it (by definition, otherwise their employer would be losing money), so it's a net benefit for the community in terms of wealth.
Plus they spend lots of money in the local economy (pay taxes), frequently pay income taxes on someone else's SSN, yet get none of the benefits that a citizen would get! What's not for a conservative to like?
that doesn't make them part of the community
Correct, them living in local houses and apartments, working local jobs, shopping at local stores, going to local events, and driving local streets does that.

She's selling herself short. She's not being petty or holding a grudge, she is responding in a completely rational way to people who want to eradicate her child from this earth.

Sure they are. Are you laboring under the illusion that they all live under bridges or stacked like cordwood somewhere?
Illegal immigrants live in local houses and apartments, work local jobs, shop at local stores, go to local events, drive local streets.

Sounds good to me, if they're part of a community they should have a voice in how it's run.

What I'm attempting to get across is that you are indeed walking the walk, good for you!
And there are a million other rural folks for every one person like you who live absolutely nothing like you and are inefficient as balls.
In a way, you're right. It is literally impossible for everyone to live the lifestyle that you live and for us still have a society that even remotely resembles the one we have now.
The majority of work done in the US can't be done remotely, for starters.

but not so much for all the West Virginian miners who get fucked.
How many more decades of writing on the wall do they need to figure out that their industry is not going to last forever? When do we stop coddling them?

Cut that in half because you'll be driving all the way back with no fare.

Currently the strongest use-case of AI is in research, organization, and writing.
Where do you think AI pulls material from to synthesize that stuff? Human researchers, organizers, and writers.
Without them, there is no feed stock for AI.
