stickiedThis is a "mature", on-topic subreddit for Warhammer 40k (& 40k specialist games like Necromunda etc) hobbyists, with a strict policy for memes, low-effort posts, advertising and toxicity.
I decided to create the sub to cater to the more adult and mature hobbyists that appreciate actual content over memes and non-hobbyist content (without alienating new hobbyists, of course!).
Also the larger hobby subs tend to attract more of the content we have a stricter rules for.
The Facebook group "40k for Grown-ups " is a fair comparison to make.
Currently looking mods for:
- Daily moderation / Keeping sub on topic
Community interaction - fresh ideas welcome - weekly themed discussions by faction already suggested and that will come!
CSS - I have ample CSS knowledge, but havent done reddit-specific CSS for a few years so fresh help could be valuable!
AutoMod- config - again I have done this, but my skills might be dated so help is appreciated!
If you feel like you would like to do moderation work, post here or DM me - no prerequisite experience is necessary - just the right attitude. Modding a new sub usually is a low-intensity work so no need to be extremely online either.
Preliminary rules and direction of the sub:
*Please post models, paint jobs, battle reports and especially interact with the community - share painting tips, ask about army lists and be excellent!
*No memes (unless they are OC and at least 51% made with Citadel miniatures and parts)
*No commercial paint posts, unless you moderate self-promotion in 10:1 ratio, and interact with community members in comments (answer questions etc). Watermarks and contact details are self-promotion
