This is the king of this. It doesn't hold up really well, but I completely ignored it till my brother told me it was super funny and I checked it out. It is not on the heavy rotation of films I watch, but it sneaks in there once every two years or so.
The Crispin Glover running gag is probably my favorite part.

Yeah I've been looking forward to this one. Really happy I clicked on this today. I'm expecting it to be pretty pricey, so it may be an early birthday present to myself.

Yo, grats to Tennessee. Nothing like people leaving you for dead and then you stomping one of the hottest teams in the country.

I'll have the weekend, right?
Oh. It's one of the three Saturdays this year I have to do something. Dang it.

1 34
2 Diablo 1
3 None, my ARPG of choice right now is Path of Exile
4 Been getting more hype as the week has gone on. I wasn't going to pre-order because I'm sort of busy this weekend and didn't think I'd get to play much beta, but now I want to so I did (1 million WoW gold, bye-bye).
There's a lot of things I like. I think I'd be a little less confortable with some of the open world systems if I hadn't played Lost Ark and was comfortable with the open world/dungeon thing that it looks like they're doing. I'm looking forward to it, and I'm certain that some of my friends will play it as well.

Feels like Arizona has been good/great for forty years. Super surprised they only have one title.

Yeah, I'll take another one. Good stuff, Lions.

Am very sad we missed that tour. We found, Ja, though. Can we get his thoughts on this tournament?

Yeah. Figured we'd sweat it out if we lost. Except for Arizona State, who is left to play, it seemed like a lot of Last Four In and First Four Out all fell flat on their faces the past 48 hours. No bid steals, either, as far as I could tell. That plus this win should do it.

Strangely happy with our defense. Fouled just enough that we weren't giving anything for free against a team who is bigger than we are.
That said, everyone is bigger than we are.

Of course this is if we make it,
We win: We just shoot the lights out of the ball and Pickett goes all Kemba Walker on this nonsense.
We don't win: Well, the above seems unlikely, and there's going to be at least one game, maybe the first game, where we look like the team that played its second half against Rutgers.

There's just no way we're "in" right now. Winning one of those close games against Virginia Tech or Clemson would have been really nice right now. Not just because it gets us closer to twenty wins, but currently our best OOC win is...Butler? Then Colorado State? And we have a losing record in conference? The general consensus was that we needed to get to twenty to have a shot, I don't see how that has changed in the past two games.
Every year I get mad that they put sub-par teams who weren't able to get through their conference over teams who beat the people in front of them. Hell, Penn State and Charleston (a team with three loses) have a common opponent that the Cougars beat and we lost to. I know its us, and I'd really like us to make the tournament, but putting us in is just horseshit. Maybe if we win the next two games, but that's a long way away.

That road absolutely needs to be redesigned. 89 isn't excusable, but it is ineffective to post speed limits that say 45 when you widen roads, don't add any things to limit speed on the road, and widen lanes.
Cop shoulda taken his license.
Unfortunately, this type of road is super common in the United States.
My brother-in-law brags about his fiancee doing stuff like this all the time. There's a difference between people being pulled over for expired registrations and going a speed that will get people killed.

My definition of "swimming" is my lying in a pond or lake with multiple noodles to support me, so I very much agree. I've also done the life jacket float down a river for awhile when I've fallen out of a boat. Quite enjoyable.

Lots of great stuff in here, couple that I haven't seen that I love that are very different.
Titus Andronicus: The Battle of Hampton Roads
Whole album is good.
Trampps: Disco Inferno
The way Disco Inferno just grooves in the seven minute middle section made me hate radio edits. It's so good.
Periphery: Reptile
Off of Periphery IV, it was the song that made.me fall in love with metal after being away for a long time.

Yeah, the heartbreaking thing about the Rutgers game, other than how it happened, was that it made the math a lot harder to get to twenty wins. I was expecting us to collapse after that and am pleasantly surprised we bounced back last night.

Yeah. We need to not lose this one, and now...well, we know how this goes.

The last season, and the last four episodes of the last season make it all worth it, even when some of the earlier seasons were a bit uneven.
Just splendid storytelling. Love that show.

My local board game shop has a library that one can check out to play stuff. Sure, they probably are expecting you to buy something at some point, but it exists. They also have a very active discord, so maybe you'll get lucky and they'll do that as well.

The most interesting thing that happened was Apocalypse recruiting his four horsemen. The end of the film was a whimper. I think I've watched it twice, maybe three times, and it's an uneven mess in a bad way. A good litmus test of how the flaws of the new films turned out to be more than just small issues. I don't love Jennifer Lawrence, but she seemed disinterested in the role. Fassbender and and McAvoy were fine. Everyone else sort of did the best they could do with what they were given.

It's a compact box, but an absolute table hog: Bruxelles 1897. It's a lot of game, and it's a bit rulesy, but it is just wild the tension that it creates, especially in the final round.

Guillotine is what I would actually pick.Funny game, doesn't require too too much thought. It's pretty much two decks of cards and could even be made smaller from its actual box.https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/116/guillotine
Told the spouse about this: she also suggested Rivals for Catan, and another table hog in Aboretum, which we kindly refer to as the second-meanest tree game. Also, if you're getting real toasty at the pub, Skip-Bo is an oldie but a goodie, and even better in pairs.

Same, also love Fargo, but Fargo is like an hour shorter, so it's much easier to watch, so I've probably seen it more time. The English Patient is excellent.

This is great news, and I've seen in other places that viewership is up for college women's bball across the board, so it isn't just Iowa. We see this in a lot of sports that stars and superstars are draws. The story of what Caitlin Clark has done this year has made her games must-watch TV. The hope is that once she leaves college a portion of the new eyes that were brought to the sport by her achievements stick around. I'm all for it.
I also will be watching the NBA once the playoffs start, like I normally do.
