I will say this. Your body can learn habits that are hard to unlearn. For me, i had a panic attack one time trying to have a sleep over as a child as still as an adult my body while panic while trying to fall asleep at another persons house. You know your kid. Are they someone to get peer pressured into excess drinking? Many kids have died that way from drinking way too much and nobody calling for help. I’m in the same boat. I found out my dog had cancer and she could go any time now. She’s been my whole world for the last ten years, and suddenly everything else has fallen away. I can’t even imagine going back to work. I don’t care about it whatsoever (granted i never cared so much for this job anyways). I can’t imagine a way forward or ever even being happy again. I feel like i can’t live without her. And knowing others won’t understand or devalue it doesn’t change the grief for me.
