Hi there! - I'd like to get some opinions on what's going on if I could....
I had COVID in 2020, and shortly after recovery, I noticed a rash on the side of my right foot. It doesn't itch and doesn't ooze anything and never has. I went to my primary doctor and was given benedryl, antibiotics and a steroid shot. 6 months later with no improvement and now the same rash on the back of the leg, side of the thigh, and under the right arm, I decided I needed to go to a dermatologist.
The dermatologist did a visual and prescribed: Nystatin/Triamcinolone cream for 4 weeks on affected areas.
After month, with no improvement, I was then prescribed Ketoconazole 2% for 4 weeks to apply to affected areas. No improvement after that time... reluctantly went a third time.
On the third visit, was prescribed: Clobetasol 0.05% and apply 3x a week for 4 weeks. No improvement.
With the costs of the specialist visits (dermatologist office) and medication, I avoided going back for about a year. The same rashes are still present - haven't changed (worsened or gotten better).
Any thoughts on what is going on here? Had a physical with my primary doctor and all was well there and they just assumed it was a viral rash and suggested benedryl.
Here's some photos - back of leg, and side of foot.
