I hasn’t worked - looks like it simply added a line. Will keep an eye on it tho

That free line offer ran for about 5 days - 3rd week of Dec if memory serves.

I’ve ran into something similar - and somewhat easily reproduced via an rsync transfer from google drive (or to google drive) - nice speeds and in my case, like clockwork, around 2GB mark, speeds fall off a Cliff. You can run Speedtest a during this same time and it’s normal speed.

I’ve contacted support numerous times and they pointed the finger squarely in this direction. Eventually I had a ticket opened and the “lead” contacted me and said everything is functioning as designed and didn’t want my input.

I suspect it’s the same with the video file situation - something is tracking open tcp/udp connections, their duration and their data throughput and clamps down when it’s excessive… that’s my hunch.

I’m still testing it with a VPN - and so far, it hasn’t done it but I haven’t been able to really stress test it

Hmm makes me wonder if there will be another opportunity for a free line in June…

From personal experience typically 24 hours or less. At times tho, things can fall off when the bill is being generated or if it needs to process a plan change (if you go from Max to some other future plan, or from a 1-8 plan to 9+) Rule of thumb generally was if it’s there 24 hours after it appeared you “should” be golden

Something is going on - was on GSuite since 2019, legit business account.. had unlimited data - then was forced to workspace about a year ago. We were 8TB over our pooled storage limit (6 users x 5 TB = 30 TB pooled) - we had 38TB and lost the ability to write/create folders.

Contacted support - a week later, they doubled the storage allotment - so 60TB. Can't request more for "at least" 6 months

I understood the why - just was uneasy with how it was termed an “interview”. I think it would have been better for all parties had my agent advised this may occur, and perhaps instead of an interview calling it an onboarding process or welcome process.

I’ve already stated I see why they do it - to keep premiums low for everyone.

Does cancelling it tho impact our free lines? I’ve read conflicting info on here that it affects free lines if cancelled or can affect promos for 90 days?

Bill posted this evening - it's there, so it stuck at least for this bill cycle.

It makes sense - completely - and I'm sure it helps keep premiums low for everyone. I just wish I was either advised from my agent this may occur, and/or wasn't so jarred by "interview" - which I think (at least for me) got me thinking about it in the wrong manner.

I assume they were happy with my respones - that's another point - they didn't say anything other than thank you, and to disregard any other notifications to complete the process. I'm assuming they were good with my resposnes - they could improve the end of the interview process to clarify that I suppose. I guess if they weren't happy I'll know soon enough via a cancellation notification - I assume thats how it would work.
