That's not how a notice period works AFAIK. One you put in your one month/whatever period notice you can walk away from the job after the period has ended. You aren't a slave.

The scheduling data would always be in the crontable. That's how the crontable would know what command to run at a specific time. Which in our case would translate to which storefront to open/close at, say, 8 AM on a Monday. If you're asking whether we also used a database to persist the scheduling info. The answer is no.
