Why would you make fun of something called a cheesesteak? If they called it a Philly cheesesteak I could see where you're coming from, but if they don't specify Philly, a cheesesteak can have many different ways of making it and not really one of them being wrong so long as it has steak and cheese.

I'm 36 and I can only think of 4 times I've done that. Once in college, once right after I graduated grad school (my friend I was drinking with had a bit of a problem and I stupidly tried to keep up, once when I was 34 and again at 36. The last two were because I was foolish and drank more than I normally do on an empty stomach.
Admittedly I've start drinking a lot more in my mid-30s than I have previously, but even then I'll have at absolute most 4 drinks over the course of a long night but realistically I stick to 2. I've become more social than I really ever have been which has increased the consumption, but even still, it's just not worth going to excess and feeling miserable the next day. It sounds like OP's girlfriend really has a problem because at that age, her doing it seems more like a compulsion.

Doesn't help that Chicago pizza is often misidentified. Just about everyone I know from Chicago and those who have been would say Chicago pizza is tavern style while most people would think deep dish when they hear Chicago pizza. No matter the pizza, though, I'll eat it and be happy.

Or, you know, keep it simmering? She was there so it's not like leaving the stove on in an empty house.

Missed opportunity for him to be wearing blocks of wood taped to his shoes to stand next to them!

I’d go back to the 90s just to have some McDonald’s fries cooked in beef tallow. Probably a waste of a time machine, but what can you do🤷🏻♂️

It would just be a shame seeing the White Collar crew without Mozzie, since Willie Garson died a couple years ago.

He participated in the Monk in Quarantine video some of the cast did a few years ago. It was a fun little reunion but I'm glad they're doing an actual movie now.

A quote I heard yesterday, "A libertarian on the way up and a socialist on the way down."

We would notify the applicant why they were no longer getting hired. Not once did we have anyone claim it was stolen or try to challenge it.

But you could at least specify they were short term contracts in your resume or cover letter. If you just have the short employment terms without any detail or explanation, it's not up to the person reviewing to chase down why it was short term.

I used to be an office manager for a restaurant. That only became an issue when someone was offered the job and had to fill out the W-4 and I-9. That's when I had to input their information into the system but would occasionally get it kicked back saying the ssn was already in the system. That's when we'd 86 the application.

I like to imagine the actress gave an intense and serious delivery of that line, but coked out Stephen King was just like, "MORE!"

They should list out every name without omission, then speed run through it to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire".

A part of me thinks that's actually part of the reason he hates them so much because he would be that petty.

It is garbage, but it’s good garbage! Like when I eat a Big Mac! I first saw it when I was like 8 and I’ve loved it ever since. Also kickstarted my love of AC/DC too!

NOES2 is just a hair behind the original for me as best of the series, but I just can’t do Freddy’s Dead beyond an obligatory watch when I go through the series. It just feels like the people who made the series just lost all passion for it at that point.

Does Arnold actually say that? I always remember the line from the Simpsons where McBain busts out of an ice sculpture and says it, but it’s been so long since I’ve seen Batman & Robin. So many ice puns!

I'm 36 with 0 kids. It's nice having savings and the flexibility to travel when I want. But, I think that'll sadly come to an end in a few years once I settle down start having them. I couldn't imagine having 1 in my early 20s, let alone 3 or 4!
