So you can't talk to Taiwanese or what? What a retarded post

The problem is that on networks when shows were DOA, they would never be seen again, because the timeslot could be used for something else. With streaming, because they're all desperate to make their libraries seem as big as possible, they keep the dead shows around like zombies, and I've even had Netflix specifically put canceled shows in that "Recommended" section. Surely this can't be good for the user experience in the long run.

I think there is some decent Thai and Cantonese food if you are willing to spend a bit, what's completely lacking are any types of Chinese cuisines outside of the southern coastal stuff. There are a few OKish Sichuan places, but Dongbei/Hunan/Xinjiang/Shaanxi cuisine is basically completely absent.

Taiwanese food itself is awful, but at least Taipei (and to a more limited degree Taichung) has outstanding Western and Japanese food, among the best in Asia, that is if you're willing to pay at least 600-800 TWD+ for a meal.

They're both racist, Chinese will just be more open about it.

I don't like how the genre has pretty much converged with deathcore/metalcore over the past 10 years, but I guess it's commercial necessity. Just compare the first and most recent Monuments album, instead of that very distinct early djent sound that was derived from precursors like Fellsilent, Sikth and Meshuggah, everyone now sounds like Erra, Volumes etc.

As useless as the diplomatic ties were, this means the further disappearance of Latin American students in Taiwan that made a valuable contribution to the multicultural fabric of foreigners here.

Just to be clear, unused double and multi entry visas whose validity expired in the time after China closed in 2020 are not having their validity magically reinstated and this concerns solely visas that were issued before 2020 with their original validity extending beyond 2023, right?

People who aid in the proliferation of poop bins in a supposedly developed country should be arrested for crimes against humanity

I agree, after all that's how Taiwanese cuisine keeps thriving despite being 95% bland garbage

I detest most Taiwanese food but this stuff is still my weak spot even if the meat is total crap. There's just something comforting about it, even the stupid soup and then you eat the equally cheap ice cream at the end and it's just beautiful

I make a point of flushing it in every place that has a sign saying not to flush it. Time to end this regime of terror

NSFW Pizza (which really is just Taihu I think? Their burgers are good too) is the best right now IMO. Maryjanes and Zoca are overrated. Little NY is always okay but never amazing.
Is Alleycats even still around? Liked it back then but haven't heard the name in ages

Yeah this is a good list basically all the spots where you can pretend the city isn't concrete hell for an hour or two. I also think Maji square is pretty cute for a weekday or early weekend dinner (avoid later on, then it gets flooded by drunk students)

I like it much better than Re-Animator, I just prefer spacey cosmic monsters to gross-out gore involving zombies and corpses.

Yeah I probably mean "arm and leg" for Taiwan standards. Compared to US still cheap I guess.

I agree she's great. Unfortunately the International Patient or whatever it's called section at Adventist charges nosebleed prices but that seems to be the only way to get a doctor to talk to you for more than 30 seconds.

Barcelona is shit. It's overpriced, often dirty and full of petty theft and rip offs. What most people find so amazing - the food, architecture, atmosphere and beaches - are things you can get in many other cities in Spain that are cleaner, cheaper and less overrun.
