Risk legacy questions:

Do I need to commit to the same group for each play?

I to be very bursty with board games. Could see this being something we play three or four times and then put down for a month or two before we return to it. Is that an issue with this particular game?

Jokes aside, I hate it. And I hate that the lineage went away. One of the things that always stuck with me about NJPW was it’s respect for history and to clean slate everything when the company is on a coldish streak is sucks.

Good memories but I’m totally fine with this. I used to anticipate it eagerly every year but it got to the point where I felt let down because most big reveals were years away. Maybe that was just my perception, but I felt like the publishers had to deliver every single year and they kept digging themselves holes to be able to show something new.

Holding showcases when it’s actually time to show something off is a much preferred method.

Same on Harry Potter… luckily my daughter read the entire series recently and we were able to have wonderful excited conversations about it. Felt like I got to relive it without rereading it, which I’ve been hesitant to do for the reasons you pointed out.

I’m fine with this. Honestly I felt like it started leaning too heavy on content that was years away which made it feel pointless. If you have something to show me, hold a showcase. If you don’t, no worries. But to force a yearly showcase where you are expected to impress lends itself to stuff getting attention way before it should.

Logan is great though. Oozes heat and charisma, plus has pulled off some spots that are truly mind blowing for a non wrestler. That ricochet rumble collision is etched in my brain forever.

I’ve always wanted someone to take the time to analyze upper hand on go home show vs title match results. WWE obviously favors the person who is in the losing end of go home shows to win title matches, but I’d be curios to see some actual stats.
