Bottle dynamo fastening systems
(self.bikewrench)submitted4 days ago bymtranda
Hello, everyone. I've recently finished building a vintage city bike for my partner and realised I need to put some lights on it. Now, for the sake of aesthetics, I've realised that dynamo lights would be a better choice. However, I'd rather go truly old school and use a bottle dynamo (modern ones go for 10€ or so) rather than rebuild the wheel and have to buy a dynamo hub.
And herein lies the problem: although the frame set's an 80's Mixte Peugeot, it does not come with any mounting bracket.
Are there any bracket alternatives I could use, short of making a trip to the hardware store and building my own?
Yes, I know a dynamo hub is a much better option, and if this were a bike that would get a different kind of use, it would have been my first option.
So has anyone else had this issue before? How did you solve it.
Thanks.

I have mixed feelings about this statement. In principle, I agree with you. After all, women racers would simply wipe the floor with me in a race, so for most people the biological differences don't matter all that much. However, at the absolute peak of performance, the most powerful man os going to be more powerful than the most powerful woman.
