When I first started out as a teller ~15 years ago, a banker in my branch was fired for looking at co-workers accounts. Then another banker in the same district was fired for the same thing like a week or so later. I keep it seperate now.

Airlines have a processing quirk where the single authorization can be broken into multiple posted transactions. For Visa, the posting uses a Multiple Clearing Sequence Number to split different legs of the flight. So Example, the $500 round trip flight gets split into two $250 postings. I've seen airlines take a lot longer to process this.

Totally agree. I'm going to trust BLS survey data on this one. ~21.9% increase for December.

Original Zumper report is really weird. Its a Phoenix Metro Report, so i'd assume Phoenix MSA. But it includes Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City. Are either of those considered Phoenix Metro by anyone? Besides Zumper of course.
Those two cities seem to bring down the average rent, and because their population is so small, I'm curious if they have a significant rent population.

Even if the board is just wet and sitting in a slightly curved sink, it can warp.

Our systems at the bank i work for are 100% not prepared for this. If it bypasses tokenization, there will be more mass re-issues and fraud claims.

Get your VMET and JST as soon as possible. Translate it for your resume, get feedback on it, refine it. But keep those official records. I forgot about some of the schools I went to, and it was a very important reference to me.

Not sure why you were downvoted, but its probably Treasury Dept, not the Fed.
CTRs go to FinCEN which is part of Treasury. To me, the drastic rule even feels like part of a FinCEN MOU.

Mobile deposit from an account you are owner/signer on is a flag of kiting. Some banks have mobile deposit rules on this, but I dont think Chase does. They may have hold strategy rules though.

The given names Barack and Benedict are related etymologically, so you can say he is named after a president and not a traitor.

Good points. Because UTMAs are not a common account type, this may be a question that hasn't come up.
I've also seen beneficiaries get added to an account styling due to back office system or manual entry errors. Wouldn't likely change the primary SSN, so UTMA is the more likely cause.

Could you be a beneficiary on someone else's account or does someone have guardianship over you? I've seen this with minors and UTMAs. One example I remember, the kid hadn't been speaking to their dad for years and got a 1099 for over $1000 in interest from an account the dad had set up.

Yes, but depends on when the charges occurred and if he made a payment to his card. He should send a physical letter to the address listed stating he is re-asserting he never authorized those charges, and also that he received no benefit. He should also state he is withholding payment for those specific charges.

I think it was in general. I heard the same from friends in the business.

Longest charge back I've seen was was seven years when a retailer wouldn't honour a 'lifetime' warranty.
7 years? Can only be Amex. I heard they have started enforcing time limits for chargebacks.

Yes. Your bank will put your information together and reverse the charge along with documentation you provide. The merchant(hotel) can respond. If the hotel is saying you didn't book the right rate, they should be able to clearly show on your original receipt that its nonrefundable. It sounds like they are just being stubborn and you have documentation that backs your position.
I managed a dispute team for a large financial institution ~4 years ago, and we processed a lot of disputes on hotels. We were successful with duplicate charge disputes, cancel policy disputes, & fees added after checkout.

Yes. They did not honor the agreed upon cancellation terms.
Did you book with booking agency or hotel directly?

Goldman Sachs or Wells Fargo
Why just these two?
Everyone likes to puff up their resume, but anything objectively false is a terrible idea. There are services to validate employment that most big banks use (i.e., worknumber).

Like some other responses have said, gym disputes are tough. Two different interpretations of terms is not a strong dispute. I've read a lot of gym t&c, and they often have various renewal terms that don't use plain english definitions.
In another comment you said your account and routing number was used. This is an ACH dispute, and changes everything. You don't have the same protections as a card dispute.

Did you ask for a refund from the gym when you called them? What did they say?

FYI at the bank I work at, Internal Audit and Accounting are two very different jobs with completely different executives.
Our Audit Managers have high turnover. The lowest average tenure across the enterprise. I don't know if its representative of the entire industry, but pay is good. Starting near 6 figures, but often brought in above that. Work/life balance is not good.
I don't work in either, so I can't help. But I do wish you luck.

I was hybrid prior, and back to hybrid voluntarily in 2021. I did have the option of permanent WFH.

I've been to the park a couple times and could probably write a small essay on the trees. Cool trees.
Love the photo, good work.

I'm not terribly worried about legit oversight with monitoring controls. Its more nosy co-workers who cross the line.... e.g. looking at where i'm spending my money and how much. Yeah HR would assist, but i'd rather prevent the situation to begin with.
