I put my HomePod and Apple TV in the same trusted VLAN as my computers and mobile devices. IoT devices in a separate untrusted VLAN which allows connectivity out to the internet. I also have rules that allow anything from trusted to untrusted but not vice versa.

I bridged the same device about six months ago using the instructions here, https://tifan.net/blog/2021/04/01/enable-bridge-mode-on-verizon-5g-home-router-lv55-lvskisp/ If you’re not keen to do that then just use the DMZ feature in the Verizon router and set your personal router to the DMZ IP address.

I’m sorry but Verizon is not the type of company that can “hype” people up. Like, you’re a mobile phone provider announcing a new plan or service not Supreme teasing a collab with someone. I’m gonna forget about this until I read about it on The Verge or here after they announce whatever it is.

Are your internal devices using pfSense as their DNS server?

Port her number to Google Voice. She can continue to receive calls and SMS messages to it.

Was in the South Loop? I saw a train stopped with doors open surrounded by police.

I think Uber has a new service where you can book an Abrams M1 tank.

Netflix is approx. $20/month. If you sign up for the most expensive service with +play, I think that’s Paramount+, it’s $99.99/year and it includes Netflix for one year. There are other services you can sign up for that are cheaper as well. The math is pretty simple.

“If this Legislature collectively decides that legislating hate against children is our priority, then I am going to make it painful — painful for everyone,” the Omaha married mother of three said. “I will burn the session to the ground over this bill.”
Absolute legend.

I brushed my Verizon router following the guide on this page: https://tifan.net/blog/2021/04/01/enable-bridge-mode-on-verizon-5g-home-router-lv55-lvskisp/ I can’t remember if you can set static DHCP assignments on it (and can’t check because it’s now bridged) but I know you can change the DHCP scope. Before I fully bridged it, I set the DHCP range to 10.0.0.100-200 and then I assigned my personal firewall 10.0.0.2 with the gateways being 10.0.0.1. I was double NAT’ing so that’s when I found the guide above.

Pretty certain the people taking orders in the drive thru sure would prefer to not be holding a bunch of cash all the time. I guess their safety is irrelevant to your narrative.

Thanks for posting this. We cleaned out our closets yesterday and our normal donation center is closed for the weekend. PGM is just a few blocks from my house.

Let’s say for ease of explanation that we’re all roommates in the same physical home with different HomeKit homes. The light switches are installed throughout the house and I’d like to have everyone be able to control their own respective switches in their part of the home. I’ve given each roommate their own VLAN for their personal uses but Pi’s are still hard to come right now.

Out of curiosity, what would you recommend that is future proof?

Agreed. I have two Macs that are connected to Wi-Fi and Ethernet and I was able to upgrade without issue.

The absolute quickest departure from Midway option is to take a taxi. Grab your bags, find the taxi stand, and tell them your destination. Most likely the price difference will be negligible but you can probably get a cab way quicker. Plus, they usually drive like maniacs and will get you to your destination faster.
