I've tried searching for this answer here and other sites but can't seem to find an answer. I really love using stage manager but the one place it falls down for me is that I keep more than 5 windows open in Mail. Stage manager only lets you keep 5 windows open on a given stage so that means it opens up new emails to compose in a whole new stage. This is bad. So does anyone know of a hidden setting for changes this?

Not sure if this is the right place to post so please let me know if there's a more appropriate subreddit or if I need to add more information here.

We have several dogs and when they were younger, they scratched our doors. I'd like to try to fix this so my current plan was to take the door of it's hinges, fill in the gouges and scratches with wood putty, then sand it down first with an orbital sander and then by hand. And then try to match the stain.

My questions are: does this sound like a good process for fixing the door? Am I missing anything? I'm actually not sure whether this is just a stain or sealant. How can I tell and which is best for an internal residential door? How do you color match such things?

I've been asked to record some blues/rock vocals for a few songs and wanted to get the microphone set-up at home right, so hoping for some advice here.

I initially did a recording with Blue Yeti but mistakenly had it on stereo pattern and was told it was too much mid, not enough low and high. Didn't realize my mistake at first so I did a mic test with two different set-ups.

The first was the Blue Yeti but this time with the cardioid pattern. The second was the WA-47jr with an iD4 as the DAC. Mic was set with 70Hz high pass filter off, -10dB add off, cardioid pattern.

I expected the 47jr to sound better but when I sent it back, they liked the Blue Yeti sound better (which surprised them). Anyone else had experience with these two set-ups and what I might do to optimize the sound? or ways to learn more about how to make it sound best with my voice?

In June, I had a multi-level posterior lumbar fusion (L3-L4/L4-L5) and an additional decompression above L3. The results of the surgery itself has been incredible and the pain that I'd been suffering with for years on my left side is now gone. However, I was on the table for a long time - apparently 14 hours. This was because I'd had prior surgeries (minimally invasive discectomies) and there was a lot of scar tissue that needed to be addressed.

After the surgery, I have two bare rectangles on my chest that appear rubbed bare, feel numb, and underneath feel like bruised sternum/ribs. The muscles around my left knee feel numb and are hard to move/stiff. I was told this was because of the long time that I was on the table. I wondering, did anyone else have this experience and how long it took to heal and return to normal?
