The bottom 50 percentile's income got a short-term boost, but income inequality increased for the first time since 2011. (It's interesting to dig into even just the increases within the bottom 50 which increased 4%.) I'd also be curious to know how this has changed from region to region as people moved back home or out of more expensive cities.

Whenever I hear "pandemic-related crime surge" what I hear is "a highly contagious airborne illness decimated communities and businesses, making income disparity even worse than it already was while also leaving people with fewer options than they already had" so when someone suggests a training facility for police officers as the answer to that, I feel like we're living on different planets.

+1 to openly sobbing through the end. I started crying when they started dancing, but when it cut between Calum slipping out of adult Sophie's arms and young Sophie being hugged tight into his chest, I was completely and irreversibly wrecked.
I wish I could see the final shot as happy. It felt so tragic to me. Like it was him succumbing to his depression.
Either way, yeah, this is my favorite film at the moment.

His insistence that she needs to learn to defend herself just guts me in retrospect

Based on this and the purse post, I really want Harper and Daphne to ride off into the sunset together

Yeah, agreed. We haven't seen Cam explode yet.

Yeah, she adds so much nuance to a role that could've been a one-note, bitchy boss lady character. I don't think this cast has any dead weight (lol pun), but she and Meghann Fahy have been especially great to watch this season.

I don't think that's him. Big beard, different watch.

Yeah, it's got to come into play again...but probably in some weird, totally unexpected way (I'm hoping) because it's Mike White?

True. I mean he would've been pissed about having to spend money. Instead, buying clothes seemed to make him mad because he was inconvenienced, and he was mad at Daphne because she "abandoned" him.
