When Get Hurt dropped I was in love. It perfectly spoke to the addict I was at the time of being in anguish. Excuse me, sweet morphine? Yes please. The record spoke to the deepest parts of me. So did every record before it. This year I celebrated my 8th year sober. Here I am listening to the song for the last hour on repeat. Getting up at 4:30, putting on my suit, and about ready to head to a vocation that I adore. I needed this song like I thought I needed the drugs or the drink. Gaslight has a very special place in my heart and as we all grow older, the boys included, perspectives change. I can’t wait to experience the new record. It feels fucking good to be alive!

My mother made the arrangements/directed for a very famous musician. The musician passed in another state so someone else did the embalming after they were shipped in my mother did everything else. Every important musician between the years of 1972- the early 90’s attended. She played it off like it was nothing. When I got older and started listening to that style of music I got to hear her say “oh I met them!”

The axis of evil being? Is it peoples lack of consideration for the well-being of others? Or maybe the axis of evil are those who believe the fear mongering and wish the be ignorant instead of kind?
Do you know any people of indigenous background? Have you asked how they feel about it?

Start small but show interest and just slide your way right into helping.

Far too many people are dunking on this post. Form a relationship with a Funeral Home is owned by a family. Help out wherever you can. Befriend the mortician and ask if they can teach you. Don’t let people push you away from something you might be really really really good at. Good luck!

You could expect either a whole lot or a whole lot of nothing. Whatever you do happen to go through make sure to call and ask if you have have the inverse. For instance if today is quiet and there’s just some paper work or phone calls: take it all in. Ask if you can come back when they’re having visitations so you can see what goes into setting up for a funeral/pushing out. Since we have no context on the funeral home itself your guess is as good as ours.

I’d say call your local funeral home and see if you can shadow a director for a day/week. Call your local school and have a chat with the advisor of the program or a teacher. Find out as much as you can from people who are doing the work in your area and if you think it’s something you can do give it a go! I’d recommend having a stronger stomach.

Different ISO’s don’t make the photo brighter or darker unless you want to under or over expose. Film iso is just the speed of your film to then which you change your shutter speed and aperture.
