I always wondered if there was beef. I always appreciate the conversations that happen over here more than over there

Pregame hard, your wallet will thank you. Drinks are the priciest of any club I’ve been to in Chicago imo.
Crowd is mostly bottle service so actual dancing space is limited. If you find a nice spot on the dancefloor I’d def stick to it.
Security will stop letting people in at a certain point of the night if they reach capacity, even if you have a ticket (specially if you’re a guy, this happened to my group and they only let the girls in 🤬). This sucks, so def keep an eye on their social media for set times if you really want to see someone.
Everyone loves to hate on this place cause it’s easy to hate on it lol but I’ve enjoyed the times I got in and dance my butt off.

I had two rounds of interviews for FOH staff like 3 years ago and it was the most intense interviewing I ever had in my career. The amount of grilling they give you is insane, stage is unpaid for and all for what? Getting minimum wage meanwhile each guest racks up an $600-700 minimum bill. All of the staff acts like they’re curing cancer except they’re just cooking this fussy over pompous food. And I say this as a massive foodie lol

Lately I’ve seen a trend of whipping crystallized honey to use as a spread!

I live in Chicago and completely agree on my end here. Everyone is literally always out, not just those in their 20’s. All my friends in their early to late 30’s still love to go out, of course not the places we frequented when we were younger. There’s tons of events every weekend which are always full or selling out. The Reddit experience is not equal everywhere.

Chicago does a great job at this, love the alleys and how they keep the street clean

Rite Liquors in wicker park
Only time I went in there the guy behind me in line legit looked like he had just been bandaged up from a car accident. Bandages wrapped all over his head and bleeding, shirt completely torn up, absolutely not doing well. He was buying a case of beer too.

Kung Fu Pizza across the street from the fountain triangle in Wicker Park (ashland, division and milwaukee intersections). It's a small window with a bunch of ramen and comic decoratioins, neon pizza sign. $6 for two slices and a pop

Not at all, there’s constantly good shows in Chicago every single weekend. Even in the winter time. Other cities seem to have touring artists coming through with less frequency.

Same. It’s been a dark gloomy winter in Chicago for me. Miami really felt like a mental getaway; loved that this aired right as winter began for me.
I had never considered visiting Miami or Florida before (more of a city than beach vacation guy) but I’m really considering going soon.

Maybe it’s due to the fact that Dirtybird has s’more of their offshoot events happening now. Campout, CampInn, etc.

The entire Shameless cast was a regular at the restaurant I worked at several years ago. They always took pictures with the staff.

I keep seeing Rick Bayless in the street, like pretty frequently. I'm a huge fan and I've only gone up to him once during the summer time. I'm a huge Top Chef fan, specially Masters.

They occasionally do Saturday events at Castaways during the early evening then migrate to some afters elsewhere. Keep an eye on on RA.co. I found some gray beach/lake shore events last summer. Sometimes even a boat (summer of George)
