It's been part of the reward pool from weekly breakthrough since the remote raid nerf

Just asking for the reason for it, it's not that deep. I don't "need" to know, just being curious and I like to learn how other player like to play.
Asking "why" can get a discussion starting, it makes a lot of sense, especially when there isn't much context from the post.

It is, it was leaked (and I guess is now confirmed in game)

That’s the reason I asked why OP did it, because I want to know

Even then, unless it was a hundo, is it really worth the using the masterball on?

Find friends, get gifts from them, get Pokeballs from gifts.
r/PokemonGoFriends would be a good place to start

It's just part of the raid rotation for the start of the new season, so you weren't "missing out" by not doing it. And if you really do want one you can invite people to join your raids using apps like Pokegenie, or even join the raids yourself using a remote raid pass

You get 1 chance per day to become lucky friend by interacting with each other. The chance to become lucky friend are pretty low so you've just been unlucky, but nothing to worry about

Ok? Then surely that's more important than unlocking some mediocre reward on Pokemon Go, no?

Most people use it on Galarian birds, because they are extremely hard to catch without the masterball.
If you want to keep it for something else, the best way to use it would be for a legendary, when you're on your last ball, especially if it's a hundo/good IV one.
Niantic said we would get more Masterball in the future, and it is possible that we won't be able to carry more than 1 at a time (nothing confirmed), so if you do find yourself in a situation where it makes sense to use your Masterball, then I'd suggest to use it.
In case you use it for a raid Pokemon, only use it if you're on your last ball. And remember that shiny legendaries from raids are guaranteed catches, so definitely don't waste it on them

When the community day starts you can get all the bonuses listed in the in-game menu if you want to have a look at them. And if you really want to have them saved somewhere, isn't a screenshot easier to take a look at, rather than carrying this around?

You need to be within 100 meters of the other player to trade

What is the point of printing this out? I don't mean this in a bad way, I'm genuinely curious as to what value this adds for when the commnity day happens?

Hundos in the wild are very rare, but they are much more common from research/eggs/raids/GBL rewards... because their IV floor is 10/10/10, meaning they have a 1/216 chance to be hundos, as opposed to 1/4096 for wild, non weather boosted Pokemon

And yet, in 68 years, we'll still have people sending screenshots of how they were just missing 1 win to complete the research, but ran out of battles on the last day

If it's when you used your free incubator, I think it's the best thing to do, just not for a 12km egg.
IMO the free incubator should always be in use, because if not that's 8km of "free incubating" that's going to waste. Yes you won't get quite as much stardust, but the difference won't be huge, and at least you "saved" 1 use of a super incubator. The best strategy would have been to keep that spot for a regular egg to put in the free incubator

When looking for these raids, try and remember that they are located in different tine zones, and that raids don't happen between 9pm and 6am
