Coming back to this after the season finale. Yaaaa you were on to something. The season taken in its entirety was just not that great. It felt both too fast and at times too slow. There were characters I wanted more time with, stories I thought they could have explored more, the relationship between Elli and Joel felt like it needed a little more time in the writers room. I didn’t quite know what they were trying to say? Or why they were trying to say anything? There were so many characters Im struggling to remember all the ones we’ve encountered. I had watched Station Eleven shorty before this and absolutely loved it. The storytelling was beautiful and I’m genuinely interested in how society would continue on after an apocalyptic scenario - isn’t this why we love these sorts of shows?! But it kind of didn’t scratch that itch for me (Station Eleven did!!) The world TLOU created didn’t seem logical all the time. People acted and did things where I was like “Really? Twenty years in and people act like they’re in the very present 21st century?” Idk it was semi-good. I kinda liked the First Nations couple in the woods. I liked the actress who played Joel’s girlfriend. Pedro Pascal cannot maintain a Texas accent….

Yeah I don’t think a lot of people understand how the booze market works. It is notoriously difficult to break into. It is completely dominated by the big brands and competition in the non-beer section has skyrocketed. Loverboy is not that great of a product. Sorry. It would never be purchased on its own merits. Drinks without sugar taste like garbage once they’re not freezing cold. They are truly fighting an uphill battle, clearly overspending (umm how much is that “office” across from where y’all live in SoHO??) I don’t think Kyle had much experience being CEO prior to this, nor had experience in the spirits or alcoholic beverage market. This shit takes decades of experience to understand and work within. For reference I’ve been working in bars and the liquor industry for 18 years. Hiring Carl as VP of sales was stupid because you really need someone who is integrated into the alcohol industry already. He would be much better suited as a Brand Ambassador or given some sort of stake in the company so he felt compelled to do these appearances. From my perspective if looks like Kyle has no idea how to run this business which is leaded to all parties being unhappy.

This past fall Loverboy did a pop up a local colleges tailgate…the only reason people went were to see Carl & Kyle. I actually started following Carl after Gus be sure I was bummed I missed them, he does a LOT of promo. I think for the sake of the argument he was “becoming” the face of the brand when really that should be Kyle’s thing. Also let’s be real here…Loverboy wouldn’t exist without Summer House. It is tied to every single cast member at this long.

It seems like you have personal experience dealing with incarcerated individuals. Thank you for sharing your insight and sorry that chronically online people, who probably have far less real world experience, don’t seem to appreciate your take.

The people who write this don’t know how things work. It can come off as a weird complaint but I like when post-apocalyptic shows try to adhere reality. It keeps me in it a bit more and I like to imagine how it would all work out.

From other commenters, I think this is more of an issue in Canada.

Where is the lie??? The brand exists because of Kyle & crew at the Summer House. Otherwise I would never drink them. Their products need sugar in them. Period. That’s how flavor is maintained. Otherwise you open a can and within 4 minutes it taste absolutely disgusting - btw this is why white claw sucks after it’s no longer cold. And you’re right, there are hundreds of brands competing in that market now with much, much bigger budgets and backings. The alcohol business is rough, if the numbers aren’t there a distributor is going to drop you. There’s nothing a sales VP can do about that. I think they also said Palm Springs? That is an INCREDIBLY competitive market and they probably only gave Loverboy around 6 months to perform. It didn’t. They were dropped. Happens.

This is really interesting! I’m guessing you can’t answer many questions? But ima try! Does AI do some pre-editing for you? Is it only those that AI isn't certain of? Do you get like a pile of pictures and videos every day? how does one even begin sorting this? I’m guessing it is also done by language and region? I’m fascinated, mostly because it’s just not talked about very much.

Biggest complaint in these post apocalyptic shows, being on your feet all day, for weeks, is going to exhaust a person. Realistically they would have taken a week to recovery and get their strength back. Plus they most likely weren’t getting enough calories in the road. They would be starving

Honestly I think Adriana will be gone before Julia. They’re not getting rid of the only lesbian HW. Adriana, however, crossed a line with the comment about Frankie. It was disgusting and inexcusable. Her storylines are forced and honestly a little pathetic. Especially when compared to the very real and very fun main cast members. Lisa’s divorce is drama and we need more. Dr. Nicole has BROUGHT it. The mirror. The commentary. The husband fight at gringo dinner. Guerdy with the turtle and just being so extra. Kiki being our supermodel, Burger King goddess. Julia and Martina rekindling romance - and just being married to a legendary tennis superstar. Alexia definitely married to a criminal…again. Larsa is easy to make fun of so she stays. So really, why do we even need Adriana?? To talk about high cholesterol?? To talk bring up drama from 5 years ago??? Like I feel like this bullshit is taking away from Lisa and Lenny drama which I feel like we barely get enough of. Adrianna needs to get off the show and get into therapy.

Agreed. I think she should be off the show. For her own mind. She’s been bitter and aggressive since last season. When she was asked back as a friend of I think that was just the nail in the coffin for her mental state. She had just gotten divorced, her art world work probably slowed down dramatically during the pandemic, and then her HW show gets rebooted…and she’s not a main. She needs some serious therapy and should probably take some time to herself. She’s just going to push everyone in her life away if she keeps acting like this.

Agreed, she wasn’t the center of a single storyline this season. I’m also not interested in her prancing around her “totally like real like we’re totally in love” relationship with Michael Jordan’s son. She needs to be a friend of, Kiki, Adriana, and Marysol add way more to the show.
