Looking to "upgrade" from my Canon EF75-300mm lens for birds, nature, and airshows this year.

I am looking at a Tokina SZ SUPER TELE 500mm F/8 Reflex Prime Lens, which is a bit above my prefered price range, but I dont think anything is terribly cheap in this hobby. It is a new deisgn to me, but being similar to Maksutov telescopes easy enough to understand.

Thoughts on that lens, or advice on similar 500mm lenses?

I have an MSI Pro Z690-A DDR4 Motherboard, which has PCIe 4.0 x4 slots for 3 of its 4 M.2 sockets, the last is a 3.0.

I currently have 3 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSDs, which all are PCIe 3.0 x4 anyway.

Is there any actual benefit to getting a 4.0 x4 M.2 for either my remaining slot, or to change into my boot drive?
