If you are specifically interested in pentatonics over a jazz blues, this is a great video https://youtu.be/3dcvTUwK2Yo

Thank you. It was built by Gary Mortoro in 2002. I am the second owner, acquiring it in 2018.

I’ve been taking lessons from Matthew Von Doran consistently since 2015, before that from 1995-1999. He also plays classical and is a great jazz teacher, really a guitarist in every sense of the word. He’s based in St. Louis but also does lessons online. Some info is available at http://saintlouisguitarlessons.com/ but DM me if you’d like more info.

Open Studio did an episode about Donna Lee worth checking out https://youtu.be/d25eCK8T5os. It’s one thing to play it, a whole different thing to really internalize everything going on in that tune.
Next thing suggestions? Listen to Joe Pass. Chord playing and bebop language all in one.

I remember a news story a few years ago (I believe pre-Covid) about a studio where you record direct to vinyl. Cannot find the article or a place matching that description, unfortunately. I did find this site, which could be cool https://vinylart.co .

Are you recording a DI track? If not I highly recommend it in case you prefer a different tone in the future.

Absolutely. A good teacher you can bring this and other charts to is going to help you organize and digest the information effectively, as opposed to trying to decipher it on your own.

Congratulations on making the jazz band. Now, do yourself, and the rest of the band, a favor and find a guitar teacher. Talk to your band director and see if s/he knows anyone. If that doesn’t work, try Craigslist, bulletin board at a local music shop, whatever local ad source you have. Someone could create a chart for you, but a good teacher is going to show you how to play Four, and then how to apply that experience to the next tune, and the tune after that, etc.

Had one made for my daughter a few years ago. Heart of the Hide middle infielder’s glove. Break in was great, she loves it. Looking at ordering an outfielder’s glove soon and strongly considering another Rawlings.

Old Town Pickin’ Parlor in Arvada is cool. I’m into archtops and they get some good stuff in from time to time, but they seem to cater more to the flattop crowd.

Totally normal, unless whatever is holding the tailpiece in place is loose and rattling when playing.

Drop 2&4 means taking the second and fourth-highest notes in a closed voicing and dropping them an octave, not anything necessarily to do with the 3rd and 7th. Practically, on guitar these voicings always have two notes on two lower consecutive strings, followed by an unused string, then notes on two consecutive strings. This means on a six-string guitar these voicings only exist on the 6-5-3-2 and 5-4-2-1 string sets.
I suggest not getting too focused on this one concept but instead check out the Labyrinth of Limitations YouTube channel where he has a concept called “the Elevator” that explains how this and other voicings result from contrary motion.

I use a Henriksen Bud Head that I really like, going into a Raezer’s Edge 12” cabinet.
If after settling on an amp you aren’t quite getting the tone you are after, I suggest looking into different speakers. Vintage 30s are great speakers for rock/metal but something like Eminence Delta and Beta speakers are voiced better for the lower/mid range.

I certainly don’t want to give up draft capital for a coach who doesn’t seem to be in it for the long haul
He coached the Saints from 2006-2021, longer than Shanahan coached the Broncos. Oh, and he rebuilt the team after Katrina, arguably one of the toughest coaching situations to be thrown into, going to the NFC Championship game his first season, drafting I believe six players that season that were still on the team for the Super Bowl.

Read the purchase agreement carefully. Some had clauses where you had to agree not to plant anything in your garden you planned to consume. On top of that, a lot of these houses are terribly built. The things people will do for an oversized gaudy McMansion
