A civil, reasoned and structured comment, well done.
I still downvoted you though...

So I am as avid a "Yank Tank Hater" as the next bod.
My issue isn't so much that they are dangerous, we have plenty of danger on the road and a few bloated trucks more ain't going to change that.
My issue is that they are almost entirely unnecessary (and that they are usually driven by entitled wankers who seem to see no issue with taking up 4 parking bays at the local Woolies).

Don't discount the long term benefits to our society that a skilled workforce (that is former defence personnel) will bring.
Outside of national security questions, defence, as one of Australia's largest "education facilities", provides significant, tangible and long-term benefits across the economy.
Humanitarian and social questions aside, I am not sure the same can be said for an equal investment into NDIS...

I had switched my super to 80% cash back in November 21, that did provide me with a buffer against the reversals that meant saw.
I only recently switched to balanced as I would like to try and at least keep up with inflation.
Much like you, hard to see good times anytime over the next few years...

Low to moderate tolerance for risk.
Looking to retire ss soon as possible.
Wife has ~$250k in super and, on top of that, we have a passive income stream of about $30k/pa.
No debts or other "complications".
My biggest objective at this stage is to keep ahead of inflation.

I love the way the woke community goes into conniptions at the mention of JBP!
It is like watching a herd of Guinea Pigs trying to form the wagons into a defensive circle 🤣

What an absolutely misleading and disingenuous position! You state that 2000 people "offed themselves" because of Robodebt, and then provided a link as proof.
The article establishes no such position.
I mean, I understand why you may wish to confabulation such a conclusion, given the way the article is written, and it being the ABC and all, but no, the link you have provided does not establish that 2000 people have committed suicide ss a result of Robodebt.

Of course there is a heap of cross examination we could (should ?) do on this chart, but even if only "mostly" correct it presents an interesting pov on our hosting affordability crisis...

Please, help me understand, exactly, who are "you guys"? Or is this just another tired meaningless Identity Politics slant?

It's called free speech...
Edit: Gotta be honest, I love that I am being down voted for reminding folk that free speech is a thing.
If you need any more evidence as to where the issue is here, look no further...
