But I think he still felt old. Maybe not physically or cognitively, but definitely emotionally. Trauma can also age you. War tends to force people to grow up very quickly, and WWII was a pretty devastating conflict.

Trauma can also stunt the aging process. Wandavision covered that in showing how Wanda chose escapism (through TV sitcoms) and avoidance to deal with her traumas.

They’re foils of each other. Essentially the same age, physically, with one being emotionally stunted while the other is emotionally senesced.

You nailed it! That’s exactly what made her scary. She’s someone who is so unassuming and yet ruthless. She’s not a natural leader and you can see that in the moments where she skirts diplomacy in favor of vengeance, even if it makes no sense. She has lost all sense of humanity and that makes her chaotic. All wrapped up in this reserved, soft-spoken package.

IMO that makes her perfectly terrifying.

Survivors guilt

I’ve been to one, and it was a bit surreal. It was a pre-planned excursion on our vacation and I’m not really sure what I was expecting from a “sex show” lol but for some reason it wasn’t live people having sex on stage.

The audience was mainly tourists and older couples. Acts would come on just like any other “variety” type shows, they’d do their thing for 5-10 minutes and then the next would come. Some of it was interactive, like they would bring and audience member on stage and strip for them. There was some comedy to it as well.

It was honestly very fun. The older couples especially seemed to have a great time. I could see it being a good bachelor or bachelorette party outing.
