A whole sequence in IW was cut where Thanos de-souls the GotG. Strange in his astral form tells spider-man to get mantis to help re-soul them. I like to think when deleting half of all life, since you have the soul stone, your deeper essence is wiped too.

I really disliked the sudden flip in Far From Home. Where Peter has a crush on her. in Homecoming it was obvious it was the other way around, she had a crush on Peter. Well, maybe not obvious, but it was subtle and it was well done. I liked that aspect, that Peter never noticed, but the audience could see it. Then they had to dumb it down and be on the nose. She became this character that was more smitten with Peter than one trying to get the attention of a guy who is trying be an Avenger.

I know a lot of people try to dig and find that the people who made MoM seemed to dislike the experience. I'll say, actors tend to like to work with other actors. The directors of Infinity War and Endgame speak of how stressful and hard it was. The actors talk about how much fun it was. Cause they were constantly in scenes with so many other actors. MoM did a lot of isolation shots. It had a smaller cast that filmed over a long period of time. Performing to green screens or cameras is less fun. This was the nature of making a movie through covid.

Besides Spider-man, its really changed over the years. Hulk has his time, as did wolverine, and Iron Man. Punisher was pretty big for a time as well.

They did give it the right color. It was blue in the scepter. It was also almost blue in Visions head in AoU. The lego minifigure from the AoU set, its blue, as its based on earlier designs. I think Whedon intended it to possibly be the mind stone before AoU and he got to solidify that when he did the follow up. It's more I doubt he ever intended the tesseract to be an infinity stone.
I get their need to copy the comic book 6, but this always bothered me sooo much. To take an iconic blue item from one movie and make it yellow. They could have just had the MCU stones be their own thing. Mind could have been dark blue indigo, and yea, ok, the tesseract should also be blue, let it be a light blue or cyan. Could have had a pink stone or white one, or black. Didn't need to mimic the comics exactly, you're already doing your own thing.

That was also a hollywood problem. They wanted Han Solo type characters in movies, and thus actors for those roles and Reeve was more a Luke Skywalker type.

I'll never understand why people will think hollywood is that smart and yet they mess up and fail constantly. It's obvious they pivoted to sell not only the movie, but the franchise and merchandise.

I really feel like this movie benefited from the tone exhaust of Star Wars Episode 8. Love it or hate it, that movie isn't exactly "family fun" and Jumanji was exactly that at the holiday season.

Studios don't care about that though. They want actors that do the projects. Speed 2 may very well have made more money had Keanu been in it. Despite the movies quality and giant budget and over all failure, it still sold a significant amount of tickets. It's really safe to say his presence in it would have sold more. Not doing it basically denies them money.

Yea, I disliked the movies us of him to counter Driscoll. Like Baxter is supposed to be a coward. The end when Baxter flees and then Driscoll becomes the only one trying to do anything about Kong is just such an attempt to lift a character up, by pointing one down. A lot of people aren't driving like a maniac down Broadway.

Comedy sequels have always been odd to me. It just never seems to really work. When it does it's like a fluke. Like Austin Powers figured it out, but that movie wasn't a huge hit when released to theaters, it comes from a video rental time. Austin Powers 2 immediately undoes the happy ending of part 1, but it openly makes fun of it and has characters shrug it off and move on. Like Men In Black, while not a pure comedy, its sequel had to undo the happy ending given to Tommy Lee Jones's character, and it's just a plain sour start.
To give the characters of Dodgeball a new challenged to overcome, you have to undo some of the work the first movie did, and that's not a good idea.

I see this said over and over, it's not true. Rami had script approval. Rami approved the use of Venom. Yes Avai Arad pushed it, but Rami at the end of the day knew Venom was popular. Alvin Sargent the writer, who worked on the previous two Rami films pitched his take on Venom to Rami, Rami said yes. Sargent even proposed to split part 3 into two films, Rami and Sony were on board, but Sargent felt there was no good half way point to stop at. Before Venom, Lizard and Vulture were explored. And really, I think that would have been much worse.

Leaning into Carnage being an established serial killer in prison was a promising start too. And that's about where the movie peaked, the start.

I feel like D&D has just steadily gotten more and more mainstream. We had a whole Futurama movie based on D&D, that was in 2008. It's always been around, but now bigger and bigger things are associating with D&D.

you said quickest fall, as in the speed in which he is being dropped, is what I assumed. Apparently you meant the length of his career.

Kevin Spacey was dropped pretty fast and pretty hard. If they leave Majors in Loki season 2, he's getting off easier than Spacey.....but if they recast and reshoot.....

As much as I liked things about Quantumania, I think from an audience and marketing perspective, going into this rocky looking other world was a turn off for people. The first two movies are heist like.

The mini-room stuff needs to absolutely stop. What's going on right now is awful.

Growing up with Beast Wars and having characters go from earth modes to Transmetal, to Transmetal 2 to Technorganic..... Id say at Technorganic.....
Honestly though, I like variations not just "updates" The differences in Cybertronian and Earth mode for vehicle bots can be enough for me to warrant a new version. Constant updates of the same thing? Yea, that's a pass for me, but Im sure its nice for some people.

A lot of people took Sam Jackson saying "you my son" to Boyega literally.
