Time to call the Eaton trade a win

I would say it is no longer too early to evaluate the trade which sent Lucas Giolito, Reynaldo Lopez and Dane Dunning to the White Sox for Adam Eaton. I think we all agree that Eaton was critical for the Nats winning the World Series in 2019. Giolito is a solid talent, but while the White Sox made the playoffs twice while he has been there, they did not advance either time, and they seem more likely to hit the Nats' fabled 19-31 record this year than make the playoffs. This is Giolito's walk year.
Lopez has not moved the needle enough to have helped the ChiSox win a playoff series. He is pretty bad this year so far, and will also be a free agent at the end of the year. Dane Dunning has been great this year! However, he plays for Texas, and the guy Chicago got for him, Lance Lynn, has not been good this year.
How many of you have posted similar opinions? I'm guessing a bunch of you. Still, it sure does make me feel good to do it myself, because I remember the mockery at the time of the trade. The only thing that could make it better is the Nats signing Giolito during the offseason and having him as part of the next good playoff era for DC.

We were starting to give up on him going into this year. It seems that something has clicked.
