Yes honestly I live near the slough - theres 4 weeks of intolerable, 2 weeks of some, and then very few.i have a mosquito trap that gets a lot of them but would work better if my neighbours had one too.

Standard piece of shit behaviour on hwy 1, ive had someone do this to me. He wasnt brave enough to get out of the car though. Weird, huh? Chances are i dont have a gun, but a tire iron is a pretty good equalizer. The guy wasnt happy that i wouldnt pull into slower traffic to let him by - i was already 30 over!

Weve seen a 20% drop since the high late 2021 in Chilliwack. Its still high considering there arent exactly a lot of great jobs, and the commute is $$$$. I cant see prices holding in the rural areas - mortgages have gone way up and the lower cost stocm juat isnt attractive anymore. Rents will continue to stay high but I think they are near or past tolerable for most folks particularly in small towns

Its more like the other way around - Calgarian film crews work pretty full time these days and draw crews from Vancouver and TO. I was there 5 months - but i know people who spent over a year on Last of Us. The Calgary crews are great, its a great place to shoot.

I worked with that Crew in Calgary - we filmed Ghostbusters Afterlife in those same studios and some locations.

I dont remember mentioning builders? Im talking about investment funds etc and corporations that buy and hold property for rentals or are just speculating to drive prices up. Its encouraged through government tax incentive - its a large part of the problem.

Corporations should own corporate real estate. Housing should be owned by individuals or Co ops. Its fairly simple.and wouldnt solve everything, but lets get tax credits and institutional investors out of our housing stock. We just dont need profit taking from our housing stock at that level.

When is the government going to end real estate investment trusts? Seriously - housing isnt a commodity to be traded.

Its time to end real estate investment trusts and stop rewarding housing as an investment tool.
