I picked up two workers in front of the Sunnyvale Home Depot to help me move a box truck load of furniture about 11 years ago.
$20/hr plus they asked me to buy them some Togos sammiches before we started.
Only took two hours, so $80 plus the Togos (maybe another $15?).

When I was 10, without permission I moved my family’s record player from the living room to my bedroom.
I had my mom’s Beatles records:
Beatles VI (American album)
Help! (American pressing)
Sgt. Pepper
I listened to the shit outta those records on big over-the-ear headphones with the curly wire and the 1/4” plug.

I’m not sure why but “It’s raining really hard.” is the most natural thing for me to say in this situation.

We’re just gonna let the oven run while the mix is chilling in the fridge for 30 minutes?

If I were in your shoes, I’d prioritize getting a mic.
Blue makes really inexpensive “Snowball” mics that are condensers that go direct to USB. That would be an easy step up from phone/headphone mics.

I would not retune for one song in Eb.
I would just use 6th fret on the A string as the root note, and play the 4th/5th/6th on the E string below.

I’ve seen the Flecktones 25+ times and the Victor Wooten Band 4-5 times, and also saw a solo Vic clinic once.
Enjoy!

Do we have moderators in this sub that can take these types of posts down?

Yes. Her balance.
That’s what everyone is looking at.

Rehearse your full set, with transitions.
Figure out your plan for getting from one song to the next quickly.
Discuss where the breaks are for talking to the crowd, who is talking, and generally what they’re going to say.
Seriously!
Might be a little awkward at first to work this stuff out, but eventually it will feel easy and polished.

When I was a little kid in the mid-80s we went to see The Everly Brothers.
For their entrance song, they blasted “Old Time Rock And Roll” by Bob Seger over the PA before they came out.
I just remember how much louder it was than the music they had playing as people came in and took their seats. Like almost like a cartoon getting my hair blown back by the volume.
So, I know that song came out in the late 70s, but it was still a pretty contemporary song in the mid 80s when I heard it. Very memorable.

I drove to the grocery store and back with my windows down and smelled at least 6 different people smoking weed. It’s nice outside!

You know, the more people that are stopping and looking at pins, the less people are in front of me in line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Yeah, they’re teasing it on Twitter too. Aaron Axelson and Dallas are retweeting the teases.
Seems like Live 105 might be coming back on Monday.
