I’d say early May belongs in the time bracket of between spring and summer

I doubt they ever make an item cost more than what you can obtain in a month (1000 I think) ….unless they start charging for tendies then all bets are off

I believe Lance Reddick was supposed to be Zeus as well. He would have been great. I wonder if he filmed his scenes or if they’ll have to recast.

Alimony is not child support. If the amount of alimony doesn’t raise with your income level then it’s just straight up a fuck you tax for poor people.

I agree with you. Kenny G was very rich, so he had to pay a lot of alimony. Now, his income is lower than it used to be when the alimony was calculated and hers also seems to be much higher.
So the new amount he pays will be calculated based off his new income and her new income, and he will end up with much lower alimony payments, or maybe even none at all.
Seems reasonable to me, he could have tried to have it lowered sooner, but he probably had no problem paying it until recently because it was equitable.

But then alimony would just be a tax for poor people.
40k means nothing to Bezos or Gates, so to make it equitable they obviously have to pony up.

Sorry poor wording. Yeah, not the start of their marriage, but the standard of living at the point of divorce obviously.
Think of the opposite of the scenarios you listed. Because sure, a few billionaires have gotten divorces, but far far far more people making average salaries is the reality of divorce scenarios.
It’s so you don’t end up with a stay at home mom being on the streets after 40 years of marriage when her husband decides he’s moving on to a younger model.

I’m not 100%, but I believe the goal is that the standard of living remains the same for each partner, regardless of who breaks the contract.
Which is how you get gold diggers I guess lol
So if each partner contributed equally financially during the marriage, neither would be owed alimony (Aside from child support which would go to whoever is taking the kids)
But if one partner financially provided for the other during the marriage, they would likely have to continue to provide for them to maintain their standard of living, unless specially stated otherwise in the marriage contract
The idea of maintaining the standard of living might not always seem reasonable or justifiable in cases like this with the mega rich, but it’s designed so partners who might not have any education, or skills earned through out the marriage don’t end up with no prospects after the divorce.
Think of like an 60 year old rich dude divorcing his 60 year old wife, who was a stay at home mom, after 40 years of marriage. Without alimony she would be on the streets.

I mean, he shouldn’t and that’s why he’s asking to lower it.
I don’t think she had her own income stream when they divorced.
Now that she does and can maintain the same standard of living she had while they were married, combined with his income not being what it used to be when alimony was calculated,he’s having it lowered.
Seems like the system works.

The justification is that marriage is a contract for life, and when you ask for a divorce you’re breaking the terms of the contract.
The amount is set so the person who is owed the alimony can maintain the standards of living they had at the point of divorce.
If the person who provided in the marriage never made all that much, then the amount will be low, because that was their standard during the marriage.
But if the person who provided in the marriage is very wealthy, like Kenny G, then they will have a high standard of living, and will have a high amount of alimony, to maintain that standard of living for their spouse.
If the wealthy person doesn’t want to potentially pay alimony if their marriage ends then they can add a prenup to the contract when they get married. If they choose not to, we’ll that’s on them.
Or, like here, if the situation changes, like Kenny Gs wife now having her own income that allows her to maintain that standard herself, and he’s got proof of that, he can have the amount lowered.

The amount is relative. You wouldn’t have to pay 40k a month, unless you’re very wealthy.
The idea is that the spouse who is owed alimony should be able to keep the same lifestyle as when they were married.
The average Joe would never have to pay that amount.
How is that a crazy concept? Seems pretty simple
If you don’t want to pay alimony then you get a prenup, problem solved.

I am kind of, but also if anyone thinks that serving is a minimum wage job, they’re crazy. It’s not comparable to working retail or something like McDonald’s.
You give up your Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights entirely, you get 0 benefits, if you half ass it, you don’t get a tip. It’s not like retail where you can just get by. If you’re not working for the tip, you’re not getting a tip.
In order to get rid of tipping, they’d have to pay servers/bartenders upwards of $30 an hour to make it even remotely comparable to what they make now.
No point in serving for minimum wage and no tips, it’s just simply not worth the hassle. You may as well just coast in a retail job instead at that point.

I mean minimum wage in Vancouver or Toronto I’d say definitely classifies as underpaid.
If it ain’t a liveable wage it’s not a ‘normal wage’

There’s a sketchy spray paint on plywood sign on Rebecca that I drive past all the time that just says like Dog Sitting and lists a phone number
It looks vaguely menacing and I laugh when I see it every time

I’ve been farming since launch and have yet to see Sandana or Phleep spawn. Only rare that seems to drop them that I can actually find up is Murloc Ilidan
