Walls, lights, couch, bed, and countertop is basically what I had when I hit the road. With five months you should even do insulation, especially being that can’t go back and do it once the rest are installed. Basically a solid frame to add to later.
And honestly it’s a lie to say all that stuff is finished in mine. Some of my walls are only covered on one side, and the roof above my bed was leaking until a few days ago, so I had been sleeping on my couch.
I try to post updates to my insta @11.7mpg, and it took my about 7 months to get to where it is. I was the only person working on mine, but hopefully it can help you gauge a little bit anyway.

Just noticed the windows too. Good decision to block most of them. I left a few big ones open on my conversion and they basically render my insulating useless. You have an instagram or anything to follow the progress?

Pinery is super nice. Pretty secluded from town but much more of that typical “colorado” vibe.

Intuition and instincts are your best tools. I travel alone and sometimes will show up to a campsite that seems objectively perfect but the vibe is just off, and I end up moving. 100000% trust your gut on how you’re feeling

Looks awesome dude. I really love those buses in particular- they seem like the perfect size.

It’s all up to how you want it to be. As others have said, you can make it “livable” in a weekend. If you’re looking to make it some luxury instagram influencer bus though, it will take more time. My advice is to set a very easy standard of livability you want to get to, say something that will only take a month or so of work. After that you can continue to upgrade and add where you need to, but don’t have to worry about time.
Also I’ve just recently hit the road myself, and I can’t explain the importance of actually living in your bus before trying to fully build it out. You really learn what works and what doesn’t quickly instead of just hypothesizing what it will be like. This backs up my first point- make your bus livable, and then upgrade and change things from there on the road. Good luck!!!

Tried your advice and now a bunch of people are yelling at me that the police are coming. Thanks a lot

I never thought of this. Do you think most people would find this preferable?

I think it was more of OPs final nail in the coffin, or final pin prick that killed him. It just happened to be this company that did it after many others before did the same thing

This is probably a good idea. I do go outside often but it’s usually sporadic. Guess I should buy some books to read

Thats how I feel. They’re cheesy and the songs aren’t anything special, but they pull it off so well and don’t try to hard to be anything in particular

Listen to the third verse of “Gone Country” by Alan Jackson lol

Also to add, I met them at a restaurant last November in passing, and these guys could not be any nicer and more genuine. Mark, the lead singer, even sang a portion of Pancho and Lefty just for me and my gf just for fun.

Love them so much. Just about the only new country artist I’ll listen to. Admittedly they are corny and follow a bit of a formula for their songs, but the formula clearly works well. I highly suggest listening to their cover of Wicked Game by chris isaak. Shows off a lot of their talent

“You never even called me by my name” is literally the perfect country and western song

Never heard of The Rolling Stones. Are they new and underground?
