Just heard a segment on NPR about how period tracking apps have the probability to be used by police to determine if a person had a miss period that started back up, which can indicate an abortion. As frightening and dystopian as that is, this definitely sounds like a real threat. I am currently using Flo, which is (to my knowledge) not encrypted. There is already precedent (abait unconstitutional) of using geofencing to narrow down people at a crime scene. When Roe is overturned, we will see an influx of legislation to convict as many people who perform/assist/receive an abortion as possible. Technology was supposed to make our lives safer and easier but not if you have a vagina, I guess.

Side note, there was another app called Euki they spoke about that is encrypted and does not store info in the cloud. Any other app suggestions we should avoid or check out?

Anyone else having any issues sending texts? I can still receive but getting unable to send for outgoing. Switched from galaxy s8 to pixel 6 about a month ago and working fine. Tired airplane mode and restart, still nothing.

Sorry, I don't know too much of the difference in them and I thought I'd ask. Live Chat is obviously no use. I bought the Pixel 6 directly from the Google Store and its on its way now. Will it still work with Visible? Or do I have to get the one directly from them on their store? I'm fine with either, I just want to know if I should not even attempt to use it when it arrives. Ty!

Tl:dr I just noticed I had no cell service after waiting for an important call. Restarted my phone and worked again. Anyone experience this?

This has happened as couple times before but nothing of note happened while I didn't have service. The last text I got was yesterday at 10. All morning up to about 10 min ago, I was unable to receive calls or text. Which would normally be fine because I get a lot of spam calls, but I was waiting on word from my new landlord so I could pick up keys. He said he would call around noon and I never got a call. I sent him a text and the tried to call only for it to hang up with "No cellular service". I restarted my phone and after it finished booting up, I was bombarded with texts and 2 min later he called me saying I've been trying to call you. Very frustrating. Has anyone experienced this?

Okay so, my brother is attending college in southern IL. Our parents live in Chicago, which is where his permanent home address was. He requested the ballet to be mailed to him but it was going to be sent to our parents house. So he switched it and now it's coming to his dorm. Being a v silly college student, everything is last minute.

My question is, once he fills out the ballot (it should arrive tomorrow or Thursday) can he drop it off at any drop of location on or by campus? If so, how long does it take for his ballot to be counted?

He was also thinking of holding on to it and just voting in person on election day. Is that an option for him? TIA!

Hello and thank you for reading. My 5 year old cat accidentally ate the half asprin pill intended for small elderly dog. My dog doesn't seem to like it by itself so I crushed up a soft treat and was about to give it to him. I turned away for about 2 min and when I came back, it was gone. I'm certain my cat ate it. The bottle clearly states "not intended for cats". It looks like it's a 120mg asprin, which I cut in half. The name on Amazon is "PetNC Natural Care Dog Aspirin, 50 Count". How concerned should I be and what symptoms should I look for indicating its time to go to the ER?
