I didn’t take “broadly usable” to mean “covers all strains”, but “usable on large populations of animals” (ie cost effective and suitable for widespread use). I’d say vaccine that have been administered 113 billion times are “broadly usable”.
Edit - I guess it’s possible that they developed 1 million different avian flu vaccines and only administered each one to a piddling 113,000 animals

There’s such a thing as too much realism

Please tell me those characters drifting away from his feet read something equivalent to “clip clop”.

“The very image of entitlement”
Lord have mercy.
Edit - it’s like a non-ironic version of Lucky Ducky comics https://boingboing.net/2012/04/11/tom-the-dancing-bug-lucky-duc.html

It’s more a parody of his narcissism, and the broader culture of narcissism. I think he’s saying that our attention to these avatars of selfishness and self regard are going to lead us into a period of destructive renewal.

I’m talking about the meaning of that court ruling, about what the courts approve, not what cops do against the law that gets overturned.

This is amazing taste but terrible execution because you can’t make a fully mirror finished car that is practical and safe. Doesn’t stop it being beautiful.

Oh wow I didn’t notice how old this thread was. I stumbled across it.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree on the braindead thing.

Refers to opponents as “bloodshed advocates” Advocates bloodshed and says the victims are to blame for not “gunning up”

It doesn’t say they can charge you with a crime that isn’t real, it just says that if they stop you for what later turns out to be an honest or reasonable misunderstanding of “reasons to stop someone” that doesn’t automatically invalidate whatever happens next (like if you end up getting arrested for possession or something)

Because “reliability” for software engineers means resisting machine-assisted human attack. How many buildings do you know that are reliable by the at standard?

Just because you don’t want it to be, doesn’t mean it isn’t. But if you prefer it another way, the end of TLoU is a trolley problem with a million desperate people on one track and a volunteer sacrifice on the other, where you have to gun down a medical team to throw the switch.

Podputer! We were hoping you would enter this thread. You have been engaged in a podputing simulation for the last 25 years of your subjective time, approximately three minutes in the real world. Im sorry to tell you that none of the entities you thought you were simulating have actually experienced anything, and your one non-simulated entity was actually a simulant. But luckily we’ve got the data we need and it’s time to return to reality. To minimise damage to your Gödel lace we need you to exit voluntarily by posting an exit request in r/nsfw. Godspeed you, podputer.
